That Dortmund seemed to have a decent striker, can't recall his name as the BT Sport commentators hardly mentioned him!

Only watched a bit of the second half of the Dortmund game and considering it was a derby game it def felt like a friendly as some of them were strolling around the pitch. Perhaps the score did not help but have a feeling many of the games around Europe will have a friendly feeling about them as the players just want to tip toe their way to the end of the season and closer to the hope there will be a vaccine soon.

didn't get that impression at all yesterday from the games I watched - 1st half of BVB vs Schalke, 2nd half of Leipzig vs Freiburg, all of Frankfurt vs Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Not sure you can make that deduction from watching a bit of the 2nd half of one game.

To be fair to them, I didn't see a lack of commitment, the biggest problem was a lack of match fitness which is hardly surprising.

Worth noting that before the break, Effzeh where one of the in form teams in the league, the turn around was incredible with 8 wins in the last 11 games. Jhon Córdoba scoring for fun, Mark Uth back in form too,  Jonas Hector playing really well in his now permanent midfield role. A win today will get them into the top half of the table.

Very good response from Mainz to the goal, some nice play, great tackle saving a goal unfortunately.

Tried playing crowd noise audio on top of the commentary and it helps a bit. Apparently in Germany you have the option of adding the crowd noise while watching it so maybe Sky/BT will offer the same on the PL?

he was, lost his way after, but wasn't the only one who did at Schalke!
Hopefully he can make his move home to Köln permanent, he seems to be back looking more like his old self.

Mainz played quite well that half, not really deserving of being a goal down.  Lots of fouls in that half too!

Hopefully he can make his move home to Köln permanent, he seems to be back looking more like his old self.

I think one of the most interesting things next year is how the transfer market is going to work. I think you'll see the following:

- More u21s playing as a cost cutting measure
- More loans
- More player exchanges in lieu of a fee

And in the case of the likes of Uth, a club like Schalke might want to give him another chance, rather than sign another player. He'd be like the proverbial new signing.
