Statham as great as ever in that special.

Alan steps in cow muck...

Statham: "Oh, you bloody shitty cow!"
Joanna: "Oh, you bloody shitty ponce!"
Statham:"No not you.  The shitty, patty-poohing....bloody shitter!  Right which one was it?  You shitters!  Come on.  Come on.  Who was it?  Was it you?  Brownie?  Blackie?  Right, come on.  There!"
(throws contents of caravan toilet at a cow)
"You bloody shitter!  That's what it's like.  Yes, you see.  The boot's on the other shoe now.  Hoof! Isn't it?  You hypocrite!  Go on.  Take the bloody poohs and wees.  I don't believe it, bloody shit!"
(cows moo)
"It's not funny!"

;D

I thought it was really funny when Alan sat on the woman in the newsagents and suffocated her then they tried to bury her in cornflakes.

I can't see what people see in this. It's the sort of Reeves and Mortimer off-yer-head type comedy that I didn't get then and I don't get now. As you were...

I missed these two series entirely when they were first screened. My bird bought me the two DVDs for my birthday and I've been watching them over the past few weeks. Utterly, utterly superb. Totally fresh and different. And just like me to catch up with it when it's all over.

Dug this out again last night, forgot how good it was and can't understand why its not had another airing since.

Must be my warped sense of humour and not enough people's cup of tea.

Going through some old files on my server and came across both series of this. Having spend the last week going through it, it surely it has to be the best comedy series of the noughties?

Just re-watched the whole series on 4oD (or whatever it's called now)!

Absolutely brilliant TV, one of my favourite comedies of all time!

Loved that scene where Alan's been accused of a lack of spontaneity in the bedroom, and he phones her up and says something like, come to my office now where something spontaneous may or may not be happening (funny in itself as an attempt at spontaneity). And does she send someone else or something, can't remember, but whoever it is walks in and he's dancing around in his underkeks playing a recorder, then does this mad double take when he realises it's not her. Funny as fuck :) Good series with some howl out loud moments, usually involving Alan S/Mark heap.

I never watched it the first time around, so I watched it last year on 4od. Pretty consistently funny all the way through.

Amazing. One of the few shows I regularly rewatch every few years, certainly in the running for my top 5 comedy shows ever, maybe top 3 (beyond that I couldn't narrow it down, favourite would depend on mood).

It's even free on Audible, I just went on there to spend a credit and the option was just to add it to my library instead. 4 hrs, too. Not a bad effort from them all. Seems to only be missing the other office girls too from the cast other than Colman.
