for me shipping out N'gog for 3,4,5? mil and bringing in carew on a free would be great business, him and carroll would be a scary prospect on occasion!

Reo Coker isn't up to much though, maybe norwich could do with him in there midfield though?

Carew is absolutely terrible, such a donkey on the ball. Rather have N'Gog than Carew.

No way should we bring Carew, he is past it and he'd cause disruption in the dressing room if he isn't to play every game. No need for that.

Perhaps im blinded by the former Valencia beast, just have a feeling he would do something for us, definitely a better option than N'gog for me, but im really not a fan of his.

Always a very average midfielder, at Westham he had a tenacious side to him, seemed a winner

but if he isn't 100% happy, he has no bite to his play - thus a passenger, sure he'll be in the premiership next season though

i doubt that was ever true. even when he was at villa under o'neill a lot of people within the club considered the likes of him and agbonlahor to name two were very fortunate to be playing for them, not to mention being regulars

still just them testing the water though right? he was obviously someone united were at most either considering looking at, or were using in their successful (but drawn out) negotiations with munich for hargreaves

i suppose you could be right about arsenal but just a very late enquiry at the end of a transfer window suggests he wasnt a particularly serious target

Well I'd think that a player wanting to move and a club wanting to sign him but the manager saying no is as close as you can get without it happening, surely?

IIRC it caused a massive sulk and eventually saw him move to Villa.

you're right, and i remember west ham fans saying how ridiculously big headed he was as he wasnt playing anywhere near where he was hyped to be and still thought he was big time
