Also i can not praise Mitchell enough, this kid is a rookie and just just had 38 points on 14-26 shooting in biggest game of his life, especially considering team was feeling down seeing Rubio leave due to hamstring  and not come back for the game.

He was outstanding. Particularly, right at the end when OKC got to within 1 point off the Jazz and he drove right at the basket and get a couple of layups. He was fantastic and looks like an immense talent.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

I am very much hoping Indiana can beat the Cavs. We lead the H2H 3-1 against them in the regular season and would beat them again in my opinion, whereas we just can't seem to get the better of the Cavs no matter how shit they're playing.

Only he might miss the first game at Houston on Sunday but even that's questionable so I hope he is back.

Westbrook chucked up 19 threes. Nobody can ever convince me that a team that has him leading the way can win anything meaningful. Stats sheet specialist, but not a player you can win with in my opinion.
okc need to do what philly did with iverson around 2000, then again with golden state and Houston being what they are I’m not sure how they can overhaul those two anyway

He’s been incredible, been raving about him all year. He was dragging this team to victories when Gobert was out injured and they were struggling, and he’s a rookie.

Cavs are a joke, you’d think they’d at least be able to defend with some intensity during the play-offs, may as well of kept IT at least he could score.

A lot of talks about Spurs contacting Knicks to send Kawhi there for Porzingis and pick. Looks like Kawhi will be gone for sure but I don't see Knicks sending Porzingis to anyone whatsoever.

Nah sorry, you're twisting the opposing argument to make it easier to beat. It's not the fact that Jordan won 6 rings that makes him, in my opinion, the GOAT. It's the way he hauled the team over the line, time and time again, with tremendous talent and also the most psychopathic obsession with winning you'll ever see. The earlier post about Jordan being 6-0 in Finals is pertinent, because it shows how tuned-in he was on the biggest stage. Did he ever fail in any of those 6 seasons? I don't recall it. As a Jazz fan, I know all-too-well that dreaded sense of inevitability when you went up against Jordan in his prime. He was just cruel.

Jordan did have a decent supporting cast around him, and they did manage to get to the 2nd round in the playoffs during his first retirement, but they went from 47 wins to an astonishing 72 in the season he came back, and 69 the year after. Huge difference. And to bring in the likes of Steve Kerr as an example of the advantages he had is a bit of a stretch. Kerr was a nothing player before he teamed with MJ - he averaged less than 3 ppg the season prior to his arrival. His career average is 6.0ppg. He was no better than, say, Kyle Korver, but playing with Jordan set the stage for him to etch his name into NBA folklore. Pippen was obviously a great player and the main reason they remained competitive without Jordan. But LeBron hasn't exactly been teamed with duds during his championship runs, so I don't think supporting casts can be used to elevate LBJ above MJ.

Don't get me wrong, there's a strong case for LBJ as GOAT. There's also a tendency to forget the greatness of predecessors when faced with contemporary greatness - there are probably many who say Salah is better than Suarez was for us in 13/14, which I wouldn't agree with at all. Jordan's Bulls career ended 20 years ago, so the mists of time are 5 times thicker. At the end of the day, it's down to the feeling you got watching both players.
I'm sorry buddy but you are the one twisting the argument. I mentioned Jordan having Phil Jackson as a coach and Lebron having likes of Mike Breen, you don't have a word on that and instead you focus on Jordan having Steve Kerr. All I was saying was that rings argument is pointless, you mentioned how his records were in the finals and how he was MVP etc but where does that put Bill Russell then? Might as well make a GOAT list with the number of rings ex players have.

We will get back to this topic after the play-off's, don't get me wrong, I hope Lebron fails miserably and lose to Pacers as I am a big time Warriors fan (and not just after they became good), congrats on Utah win by the way, your team has been my 2nd favorite since Stockton-Hornacek-Malone days.

I dont want Kawhi traded, whatever issue there is imo will be resolved in the summer.

But if they had to trade him, i would not be looking for Porzingis  too injury prone.

Imo Knicks is giving more. Kawhi is 26 and coming off a season ending injury, plus now there is locker room issues, he has been cleared for 6 months but he is pulling a Derrick Rose and refusing to play. Not good signs imo. Ans wanting a 1st on top of that is robbery. Spurs' hands are tied imo because everyone now knows Kawhi wants out. I won't be surprised if these talks first came from Spurs camp as Spurs are trying to drive the market price up for Kawhi maybe.

It's all up to Kawhi. Comes down to if he is willing to sign extension with the Knicks or not. If not then this whole thing is a waste of time. Spurs don't hold the cards, Kawhi does, that's the key. Kawhi is a damn good player, but with all the BS and headcase this season, I would not trade KP for him.

True, sorry, I did skip over the coach thing. Wasn't intentional, just got lazy after looking up Kerr's stats and writing a paragraph on him as an example. It is true that Jordan had a better coach, certainly. So that can be a tick in LBJ's column. As for Russell, I wasn't alive then and have no real idea how his teams, coaches, level of opposition etc. Compare to what MJ and LBJ faced. He's definitely one of the greatest players of all time, but not being an offensive juggernaut harms his case.

John Wall Wants Wizards To Make Roster Changes

John Wall said it is on the front office of the Wizards to make changes this offseason.

Wall had some strong comments about the team's chemistry and wanting players who want to be on the team.

"It's a lot," Wall told reporters when asked what the Wizards need to address on the roster. "I feel like it's a lot we can use. I don't really have to say [which] certain positions. People who have been around our team understand what we can use to help our team. And it is not throwing shade to anybody on our team because everybody that is on the roster gave everything they had to make it work and fit with the team.

"But at the same time, sometimes when it is not working, you try, you try, you try, and it keeps failing over and over, you have to make certain adjustments and changes."

Wall and Marcin Gortat have frequently been at odds.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And to think Wall, Beal and Porter are all paid max, they are in big trouble. They lost a lot of flexibility to re shape this roster.
One thing Wall doesn't realize is he is talking like he is not the problem but the team around him is. He shold also shut the hell up or keep this behind doors but clearly those guys hate playing with each other.

That said, it would be interesting to see Wall and Cousins play together again since Kentucky, if they send Beal to Pelicans for Cousins.

9-20 isn't a terrible night for AD, but if the Pels are going to compete in this series he needs to be taking at least 30 a night and making at least 18 of them.

Also, the fuck were the Bucks playing at?! They had 4 chances to beat an understaffed Celtics on the road and never did. Useless.

Having said that this team was expected to be nobodies and some "experts" said they would finish last in the east. They had the 5th best record in the nba and took LeBrons team to game 7 in the first round. Keep the core together and add to it and we can have a good few years.

Jazz unsurprisingly thrashed in Game 1 after being given 25 minutes to recover from OKC series. Is it really too much to ask to ensure that teams are given at least 2 days off between series? It's not like they even went to 7 in the first round!
