Best off just getting an iptv sub,I had a play with kodi for the first time in years the other week when CinemaHD trending tv shows went blank (fixed now) and quickly fucked it off.

I don't feel like buying another device and Kodi sucks balls on my Xbox.
Are there any good IPTV providers I could register with and run on MyIPTV app via Xbox?
Xbox is powerful enough to run it, just need a reliable sub.

I don't know of any that run on the xbox,you could get a stick when they're next on offer,I think they sell the lite for £19.99

These 2 have apps and installation instructions,just make sure that you turn on apps from unknown sources,it's in developer options in settings.

CinemaHD is not being supported anymore. Its still pulling streams, even for new movies and series but all the drop downs for featured , popular etc aren't being refreshed.

I've been a long time user of CinemaHD and am looking for an alternative. I also have Kodi loaded and use that for anything I can't get in CinHD

Click on the Movie DB on the top right (next to search) and it changes to T,the drop downs are working on that tab.Trending stopped working last week but it was fixed in a couple of days so somebody must have updated the code.

Strange thing is that the search is shit on the T so you have to change it back if you want to search.

An alternative is NovaTV,don't click to download the player when prompted and then you're able to use VLC.CHD is still the best but Nova is decent.

proton VPN offers a limited number of free servers, works OK for things like US version of Netflix, not tried with Kodi though as not used that for years

My daughter hasn't a a telly in her bedroom for years, she now wants to watch a few things occasionally so I've got a her a 4k smart TV.
She only wants iPlayer and ITVx, she doesn't want a Sky box.

I've got an old 1st generation firestick and an old android box - are either of these any good load load the apps on? If so where from?
If not what device do I need to buy and load.

When you say the apps, do you mean BBC iPlayer and ITVx? If so and it's a Smart TV, those will likely already be preloaded onto the TV and you just have to sign in to the apps and you're away.

You should be able to download both iPlayer and ITVx from the app store on the fire stick

Should be but it depends on what codecs the apps use,the old sticks don't run the latest ones.

That being said she doesn't need an aeriel to run the apps on the tv,it would run off her wifi,no ?

Yeah & I am pretty sure that you can skip the channel scan when setting it up (comes after you sign in iirc which you can also skip if you've no intention of using the smart function),was a while ago that I did it so could be wrong.

Can also grab an indoor aerial off Amazon,price depends on how far away from the transmitter you are but they're only £20'ish.

So a TV reset has improved the internet connection, she can get everything now. However, I understand you can't watch ITVx live via the internet only on catch-up, unless you use a firestick (which is just via the internet!).
Does that sound like a load of bollocks or correct?

How to watch on connected TV

The live TV feature is currently available only on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Freesat, Now/Roku streaming players, Samsung Smart TVs, Sky Glass and Sky Stream puck, Virgin Media, Xbox One/S/X and Xbox Series X/S.

Sometimes a show will only have television rights and not online rights. If this happens you will receive a message saying the programme is unavailable - don’t worry, this isn’t a technical fault.

No idea why they've not allowed it on all devices/tvs.

I just installed the beta analytics version 2.41 and it's giving results galore again,both free and RD.Only downside is that it does a fresh install so your history and fav library doesn't carry over but it's back to normal and much better than NovaTV which only gives a few RD links if you're lucky.

Just had a look to see when Cyberflix was last updated and it's saying Dec 20th 2022 so I will be giving that a try later tonight.

Was the same with my v2.4 but you should be able install v2.41 on the stick and they all work again.

i have Kodi on my PC - 'The Crew Kodi Addon-all in one' (Nord vpn-all debrid linked) all ok but live footy can be hit/miss.
can i just add another addon ? ... like 'The Loop or DaddyLive' or will it mess up 'The Crew addon' ?

Been years but yeah you can add add-ons,if you can edit the build you could also add it to the main menus.
