Goal is on Van Dijk - Mac doesn’t need that there. Surprised Alisson didn’t get to it as it seemed within reach

We’re so dangerous upfront and in the transition in particular. Static in the settled build up - shame Thiago isn’t fit as he’d help us a lot here.
Yeah that was a poor pass from big Virg, but I'll let it "pass" - our tactics put a lot on him.

In such a sumptuous festival of shite, I wouldn't be so quick to pick a winner..

But he'd make the shortlist

I for one don't think it's a red card, the offence in itself does not deserve a red card and he is not the last defender so couldn't give one for that either. However how he doesn't get a yellow is strange!

Good turnaround by the guys! YNWA
it comes down to reality, and it's fine with me cause I've let it slide...

Mentality issue but turn it around so often. Is that good mentality?

This season yes and back.end of 21/22. Last season we couldn't get going at all.

Have we been solid for any of those? How many of the established top 4 teams have we beaten in that sequence? Not counting Newcastle.
This is called moving the goalposts.

You said the system isn’t working, it clearly is. Or are saying we’ve been lucky for nearly 20 games?

How many top 4 teams have we beaten if you exclude the top 4 teams we have beaten?

We're always better in the second half anyway

Yeah you could say "because the first half is abject" but it'll improve now I reckon

2 goals from dicking about at the back poorly, you could see it coming (at least you could see Brighton's goal coming)
I understand why teams do it and it works well but when a team is so good at pressing like Brighton are the risks increase and you need to get it right, we didn't and we were lucky they didn't once as well

Just for discussion and not for feckin argument.

But may I know why Harvey was not trying to score that goal instead just let it passed to Salah?

He was in better position, right? In front of goal.

Of course, it's a good goal. No doubt about that. Just wondering only, here.

He's clearly got a shout from Mo to leave it. You can see Mo thanking him afterwards.

It’s like we don’t get going until we go a goal down. We need to go back to starting strong

I reckon the club was waiting for this match- for whatever reason. I reckon we see the statement sometime today or early tomorrow.

I honestly didn’t think it was a red for Brighton. But I’m probably just numb, having read the posts on here especially seems I’m wrong.

Wasn’t mentioned on Sky half time coverage either.
