Unless they suffer some major injuries (Manning, James, Harrison, or Freeney) I can't see them not winning the home-field.

think so, right now I'm more concerened with the trip up to the Metrodome to face the lowly viqueens... What's that saying, a wounded dog is one to be afraid of?  Well, regardless, a win on Sunday and the pack are in the  hunt in the good 'ol black and blue division haha...

Will we get a team with less than 500 in the playoffs this year? We've had a couple go close in the last few years but with the NFC North this year there is deffo a good chance of it.

Me bein a Skins fan would be more than happy with a play-off berth this season with more to come in the future. But after 2 defeats on the bounce a home match up with the 49ers does me ;D

Also congrats to Manning an Harrison on breakin Young an Rice's record on Mondee night. An what a play to do it with, fuckin superb.

90% Done.

Condition:  Ya gotta be loud.  No oppo shotgun formation in our end, gotta shout 'em out & force the QB back under center. 8)

I know, that's super important against a team like the Eagles who always throw the ball...

Sometimes Giants crowds get a bad rap for not being loud, but if they're in contention (very likely) and the Eagles are in town, it will be extremely loud.

Giants won a thriller over Denver 24-23...

Eli led the comeback against a top class Denver defense with 2 4th quarter TD's.

Next week for the Giants is Redskins Week (big rivalry).  The NFC East is back to being the Beast again.

NY Giants 4-2
Philadelphia 4-2
Washington 4-2
Dallas 4-3 (threw their game away at Seattle)

Philly plays at Denver (who will be PISSED).  Dallas is at home to Arizona (and Dallas is PO'ed as well).

Hi, don't want to go off on a tangent but knew there would be some Americans in here, possibly even a few New Yorkers... ?

What is the best means of travel to get to the Nassau Veterans to see the Islanders play? Taxi too expensive? Cheapest way of doing it. I'll be based in Queens... I have seen the directions but can find no indication of how long the journey will be from Queens to the stadium or suggest transport methods.

Any hints or tips woulf be greatfully received.

Thanks.

don't mean to horn in... but you could just take the train to Hempstead Train station and just jump on a bus to the Colliseum.  I think they run pretty regularly when there are games there.

It's not a long trip if you're coming from queens, by car that drive is about a half hour with traffic...Not sure what a taxi would run you for that though...

This is easy...drive east on Queens Blvd until you get to Rt. 24...Nassau Coliseum is on Rt. 24.

It's a little bit of a drive, but not too long.

To native NYers, otherwise known as Jamaica Ave...

Hes gotta go....like i said to you a few days ago nyujvary...Favre is carrying the packers on his own....his performance at Minnesota...300+ yards, 2 Touchdowns with no interceptions...FLAWLESS...Plus he has no Javon Walker to rely on!!...Basically, Favre has produced a magnificent performance as per usual...but the rest of the team are sh*te...if FAvre had been in a half decent team since 1999 hed surely have one or two more Superbowl rings...just looked at Favres career stats today...51,300 yards..Elway will be overtaken next week and Favre will be no.2 all-time....TD count is 390...so 400 should be eclipsed by the seasons end...i know Favre aint interested in records, but hes breaking them, Legend...and clueless Shermans time is almost up.

Next week for the Giants is Redskins Week (big rivalry).

Should be a good match-up. Hopefully yesterdee's game will kick start Portis' season, an give the defence it's confidence to turn the ball over. Great to have a crackin' option down-field now with Moss, somethin we have missed recently.

Lookin like a tight-fought division so this game could be huge. Keepin us unbeaten in the division an the Giants winless in the division. That'll do me :D

Finding it hard to believe Washington is getting it done with Brunell at quarterback. He was dreadful last year although for some reason he's endeared himself to Gibbs. I'm hoping they go in the tank because I hate that team and especially that nauseating owner.

I'm not so sure that's going to happen, but Washington is much improved.

And to ALPH, Gibbs has a track record of taking old veterans off the scrap heap and turning them into great QB's for a season or two (Doug Williams, Mark Rypien).

Giants-Redskins is going to be hard fought...the key for the Giants is to get Plaxico or Shockey isolated one-on-one where they'll have a huge advantage in their matchups.  The Skins don't have Bailey or Smoot anymore, and I expect Plaxico to pick on Washington's corners.

I think the Giants will do a good job defending Portis, but they can't cover Santana Moss with one DB...

If it comes down to specials, NY's are far better than Washington, especially their backup kicker (compared to Feely, who is one of the best kickers in the NFL)
