Premier League this calendar year.

Haaland
7 goals 1 assist
Missed 1 game

Salah
5 goals, 2 assists
Missed 6 games

Both were the top scorers going into the new year, only one had AFCON and multiple injuries since.

Maybe City should sell the robot as he's fallen off a cliff or something :lmao

If Haaland was 32 in 6 weeks the comparison might be vaguely relevant.

Last year was defo the time to cash in (if all parties wanted it, which it sounds like they didn’t). But that was then and this is now.

If I was a betting man, I’d bet on Salah killing it next year, runs his contract down, Liverpool fans hoping he signs a new deal, and then a queue of clubs lining up to take him.

That’s why I say … sign him up now whilst the chips are down ;)

Hate to say I told you so, but I would be lying ;) They want to extend Salah’s contract because Mo is gold class and will be rejuvenated next year.

There’s one thing I understand - the contrarian investor mindset, and these guys that run the club are not scared to swim against the tide to extract value. Salah contract extension is the equivalent of a “bear market investment”. Sign him up now when it’s easy and demand is down , he gets off to a flyer next year and his value on a long contract soars … wouldn’t surprise me if they try to cash in at the end of next summer with Salah in better form and in a longer contract.

Muscle memory is a bit of a pain when it's not being beneficial, isn't it? I've had to change a few things up in my internet browser, I keep clicking where the buttons no longer are.
Upset pornhub moved the mute button?

I think it's still true that over 60% will be granted asylum. Leaving about 25k to deal with. Plus the undetected ones.
Given that most* of these will be willing and able to join r workforce and contribute to general taxes, the time and money spent stopping the small boats seems mad. Why dont we just supply the boats and save they money on the patrols ( or just reopen the former routes).?
Incidentally, I've not heard of anyone coming in on lorries any more. Have they stopped that now.
* most is a guess. Though I bet it's well above 90%

Fantastic article, great insight- we may be onto something here

Yeah, frankly its very encouraging these reveals. Very.

Agreed, moreso as Arteta was part of Guardiola's regime and contributed to the current situation.
I totally get that Arsenal deserve full respect for how they have done it, but I am a Liverpool fan, first and foremost and Arsenal winning it does not help us. Knocking city off their 'bought' perch matters more. For Arenal to go through what we did and get nothing means their fans will understand better how City are fucking up football.

"Nunez is being compared to the current top goalscorers in the League. The likes of Watkins, Solanke, Bowen etc. The thing is they are all playing 3000 plus minutes this season."

Palmer: 20 league goals, 2162 minutes
Isak: 19 league goals, 1942 minutes
Haaland 21 league goals, 2211 minutes
Salah 17 league goals, 2264 minutes

News and Current Affairs / Re: India - deteriorating?

The latest trope of Hindu diaspora in the west is "Hinduphobia" when there is barely any. For the western racists, brown skin = Muslims and that's pretty much it.

Sikhs with kesh have it way worse.

Comically out of touch, par for the course for the Indian "liberal" or communists hiding their colors complete with their hierarchy of oppression. The experience of anyone can be discredited because there is someone who has it worse.

When Reliance democratized internet to take it to the darkness in the villages of India and the arrival of Instagram and Tik-Tok threw Indians and Westerners together for the first time on a mass-scale what unfolded perhaps did more for the nationalist cause than anything else. The American mainstream public has always lacked humanity and respect but the vitriol directed towards Indians and the Sanātana Dharma is perhaps the only acceptable form of racism in the West. Indians are no longer under the yoke of White Imperialism and they learned and learned fast how to talk back. Still a bit primitive but nevertheless they've always had fight in them, it just needs channeling.

The American Liberal has no use for the Sanātana Dharma because they cannot control it, it actively challenges their whole premise of good and evil and the supremacy of the individual over the collective, the American conservative actively despises it because it is not Christian. Only the American establishment has made peace with it because they know the jungle is returning and they need us as we need them. The BBC is proved beyond doubt to be anti-Hindu

Only the most brainwashed or someone living in a bubble would think there is no Hinduphobia in the West or in the Islamic world

"An assassination plot on American soil reveals a darker side of Modi’s India" - https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/04/29/india-assassination-raw-sikhs-modi/
Identity of the Indian official is out.

Are we supposed to feel bad? The Americans pioneered the use of extra-judicial killing in the name of national security and we are simply following their lead. Now, there is no mountain high enough, no ocean deep enough and no nation strong enough to stop us from reaching enemies of the state and traitors of the civilization. Another promise by Modi fullfilled

Now India has changed, now India won't be silent, this is a new India, we will break into your house and end you - Narendra Modi

(From a West Ham forum:)

My take on the Areola situation is that there is no way a Premier League keeper throws the ball down like that and pulls his socks up without having been told it’s a free kick.

I would say the ref said to him ‘it’s a free kick’ and ran away from him… then the Liverpool players had retreated and the ref was then thinking he could keep the game going shouting at Areola to play on. Areola doesn’t hear this and as per usual a Liverpool player tries to score a cheap goal, so the ref then gets into a panic and tells Areola to make out he needs treatment:

All in all it stems from the ref being out of control of the game, too many mixed signals from him.

(reply by another person)

Exactly I think the ref coc_ed up and ran up to him and said go down and fein injury ( if that was against us I'd be asking questions ) it's nice to get something for once

Context is important. The conversation prior to that had nothing to do with p90. It has nothing to do with being myopic or whatever other bollocks you're suggesting. As for all of the strawman shite about Edwards, I never suggested anything like what you are claiming. As for the cherry picking, Al complared other top scorers in the league to Darwin whilst looking at minutes played, but only used players that fit his narrative whilst omitting others that didn't. So yes, that's cherry-picking. Again, context is important. If you're going to critique something, at least try to understand what it is that you're critiquing.
