Great series - only gripe was that there weren't a comedy in there. Brooker is a hugely funny writer and in the original series, we had pig-fuck.
Don't believe for a minute that, that episode wasn't the result of a sly dig at David Cameron (must have been a worst kept secret in media circles).
Anyhow, I would have personally liked a comedy in there somewhere.
Secondly though, did anyone think that the last episode had an air of Saturday BBC Primetime about it? - I mean, it was a good story and all, but it really was like an episode of "Bugs". I also thought that the script was a little bit weak in parts too - every character seemed to have one common reaction to plot thickeners, that being "Fuck!".
I still enjoyed it, but as I say, out of the lot of them, I think it was definitely the weakest; Kelly McDonald is a great actor and I've liked her in a lot of what I've seen her in, but she was a bit off-the-pace for me. Maybe it was the writing, I dunno, but if you listed all the major characters of all the series and ranked them, I would say that she was the least interesting.
Anyway, great series - especially episode 2; it was very well done and I agree that the ending was a bit flat, but I can't see how else they would have ended it.
