Now driving an 03 plate Vauxhall Astra 1.6i with only 11k on the clock 8)

Probably gonna have to get shut of this car now.  Just not enough room in the back for 3 kids all still in car seats.  A Zafira beckons me thinks.

I have a question hopefully one of you drivers can answer for me.

Are you allowed to drive wearing earphones (listening to your mp3 player like your iPod or Zen)?

Not sure about what the law states exactly but imo it's not a good idea.
You need to be able to hear other cars and especially in built up areas, having
headfones in cuts off a high percentage of outside noise, totally different to simply
listening to music from your cars speakers, if you were reversing in a residential area
with lots of kids... you know what I'm getting at.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

My kids were dead upset when we told them the Landrover was going.......no more deserts to cross and jungles to run on the way to school. :(

Not that expensive - nothing much goes wrong with Porsche, especially as you're buying a 'classic car' rather than a modern one. :wave

I had a very interested look at a 92 911 recently, a 964 c2. Know anything about them? This was a bit of a minter 70k on the clock, fsh, gorgeous colour, auto tiptronic (this is good as I'm not sure Mrs Corkboy could handle the clutch).

An old L reg Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8i, which gets me from London to Liverpool & back quite happily :)

It might have been a different story this weekend if I hadn't taken a sicky from work today and decided to check the oil ready for the journey tomorrow evening... I had a little trouble finding any oil on the dipstick  :-[  A new rocker cover gasket & some nice new clean oil  done this afternoon (by my neighbour, not me... I ain't touching all that yucky stuff and getting mucky hands) and the car's all set for another 500 mile round trip this weekend :D (touch wood)

Yeah – it worked out a few grand more than the Volvo that I did get. And whilst the Porsche probably would have been more fun as I only need it for my 2 mile run to work then the Volvo won out in the practical stakes. Plus driving the 928 in a new Hampshire winter would have been entertaining to say the least. And the Volvo actually has more horsepower than all of the 928’s up to about the 1986 version. And to be honest once you are over 250hp its not worth arguing about.  I may add a Porsche in a few years – once I get a house with a garage or two to keep the Porsche in. I don’t have that at the moment and if you are going to get a classic car then you may as well be able to look after it properly.

Yep, there's one parked right outside my flat every single day as my neighbour owns one. It's on a California plate so I guess it's imported but I've never actually checked to see if it's LH drive. It's a fucking monster though. It's about 1.5 times longer, wider and taller than a normal car and it ends up blocking off 4 spaces in our car park which fucks everyone off.

Cars like that are a waste of money if you ask me. If you want to look like a c*nt go ahead and spend a fortune on one but if it was me I would be looking for something with a bit of performance for that sort of price.

EDIT - I should say it's an Escalade pickup which in my eyes makes it even more of a cuntmobile because he never puts anything in the back.
If you're lying, I'll chop your head off.
