Broner slept walk through the the fight. Not once did he show some urgency.

Broner looked at Floyd and took all the wrong elements. Floyd is rich, his brash and can rub people the wrong way but was a gym rate and a complete professional who never cut corners. He found a way to win no matter what and enjoyed his wealth which winning generated. Broner on the other hand wanted to get to the stage of earning mega mega paydays but without putting the work in first.

Garcia v Crawford would be good but am hoping Crawford moves to 147 if he wins all the belts.

So Lomochenko is calling out Mikey Garcia. That fight could easily be made for Lightweight in a year or two with Vasyl clearly looking to bulldoze through the lower divisions.   :D

I don't think Loma moves up without avenging the Salido fight. There is Tank Gervonta Davis as Super feather too and Berchelt and Vargas from Mexico. Tevin Farmer was shot in the hand so not sure if he will even fight again.

Marriaga has done well to get the fight, it's his first fight at Super feather having been beat fighting Oscar Valdez for the WBO featherweight strap last time out. He is there to make Loma look good as fights with his face forward and will be like watching a repeat of the Sosa fight.

I want to see some of these lads step up a weight now

Frampton who clearly struggles to make weight
LSC
Mares
Selby
Diaz Jnr
and the one I'd love to see the most, Oscar Valdez just because he is game and would really bring the fight.

The divisions are stacked and we still aren't seeing them fight each other

I'm not sure about Frampton @ Junior Lightweight.  Think his small for that division.

True but isn't Selby the money fight for him at 126lbs.  130lbs would be a hard one for Frampton to crack.

Yeah but they haven't looked close to making it have they? Maybe it's McGuigan vs Haymon, I don't know but it's not like we're hearing of them fighting in their prime. They're essentially both treading water at the moment with shit defences in a stacked division

Maybe, just maybe....

"Frank Warren told Boxing Scene last week that Selby v Warrington is a fight that he is trying to make to main event the October 21 card."

"Selby has said he is ready and willing to face the former world super-bantamweight champion in October or November. It appears the race is on to see who will face Frampton first. Selby or Warrington?"

Right decision I think, if you're not certain about the rematch then why bother.

Had a great career and got out with a ton of cash and most of his marbles.

Brilliant career, and a wise decision I think. He's got nothing to prove, and I don't blame him for not wanting to enter the ring again to fight AJ. Whatever you think of his style and career as a whole, he was a great pro.

He's got to fight Pulev contractually. Hearn has already said that if the Klitchko fight fell through then it has to be Pulev.

After that I guess he'll go after Wilder.

He got special dispensation to fight Wlad but if not it has to be Pulev. Only alternative would be Wilder or Parker because the other champs have priority but I think both of those are going to 'marinate'.

Or maybe the winner of Parker/Fury in September. Personally think he should fight Wilder after the mandatory fight, I think AJ would eat him alive.

I think he went out on a high even in defeat. He produced a performance nobody thought he was capable of, earned everyone's respect & walked away with a ton of credit.

So apparently the WBA have ordered AJ fights Ortiz next.  These fuckers really know how to screw up a good thing don't they? And he ain't going to fight both Pulev and Ortiz by the end of the year.  Looks like one of these fuckers will strip a belt off him.

Wlad has done the right thing, he has nothing left to prove.

He's been a great champion, who's carried himself with class and dignity throughout his career.

Ortiz might be fighting Wilder which would free up AJ vs Pulev no?

100% agree. Wlad always came across as a decent guy with a sense of humour; could fight a bit too  ;D

Nowadays I rate the IBF higher than the WBA. Time flies.

Great career for Klitschko. Always liked him as a person, but how boring was he as a fighter... The competition in the HW division did not help either. Wish him the best in retirement.

Next super-fight is Indongo vs. Crawford on August 19th. Crawford enters the fight as everyone's favourite, who here thinks that Indongo can pull something up?

EDIT : totally forgot about Lomachenko vs. Marriaga tomorrow, but that shouldn't be a very difficult fight for Loma.

Wilder AJ is the only super fight left and then he will just be drilling chumps heads off. Love AJ and look forward to watching him fight vs anyone but we won't get another contest like the Vlad one until he is over the hill. I hope he retires before he gets his Tyson Danny Williams moment.

Confimed! WBA give AJ 30 day's to agree to fight Ortiz or hes' stripped of the belt.

Anthony Joshua has been ordered by the WBA to defend his title against Cuba's Luis Ortiz.

Surely his next fight will be announced soon. Will this mean he's likely to lose at least one belt before his next fight?

Pulev, Ortiz, Wilder and whoever has got Parker's belt by then will all be good fights, then you'll have one or two like Usyk coming up from Cruiserweight. That will take till 2020 at least and you never know Fury might have shifted all those Kitkats by then so plenty to look forward to.
