It's being done by an external organisation. Being booked on TC has no impact on your place in the ballot. That's literally the whole point of them using the Electoral Reform Service to perform the ballot.

Let's not get all conspiracy theory about it. There's plenty of things to be angry about with this final, but the way they perform the ballot is not one of them.

I spoke with TC yesterday.

They confirmed that if you have applied for a seat, payment will only be taken once it is confirmed you have bought a ticket from the club. Some people may enter the ballot and be successful but then decide not to take up the option to buy. There are 3 days between the ballot results and tickets then going on sale.

If you don't buy a ticket then your application is cancelled and no payment is taken.

If you are only intending to go IF you get a ticket, then this is the best way to book.

I know this must have been answered on other pages, but please save me time here...I registered and there is no need to put in any travel or other details. It said confirmed but I've not had the confirmation email. This is OK yeah? I am in the ballot?

Yes, it will be in your purchase history. Put travel details in if you are successful.

Yep jumped on the 2 day trip at £800. Pricey but direct flights from Liverpool at normal times taking around 4 hours. Miles better than the stop/start 10 hour long journeys I had been looking that costing nearly the same amount. Also hopefully back in time for a parade!!

Luckily my brother booked an Air BnB for £125 a few weeks ago.

Never used these before but know a few who have so all seems good.

When you buy a ticket you’re asked for the details of the person attending.
You just need to enter the details of that person correctly.
Then it’s in their name from the club and meets Thomas Cook criteria.

Edit: them flight times back are also worrying me. Kiev is 2 hours ahead, so the game finishes at almost mdnight. Should ET & pens happen add another hour plus celebrations. Takes 35 mins to go the airport - providing you get the first transfer out you'll make it for 2am. The flight is 3:05. Too dodgy for me that.

anyone who is looking to come to Liverpool for the Champions league final weekend and cannot find accommodation.
Premier Inn in Childer Thornton has rooms available for £183 for 2 nights friday to sunday.
Train straight through to Liverpool city centre takes 30 mins.

When you book with TC do they ask for details of the person who owns the ST that qualifies, or just the name of the person travelling and using it ? I'm guaranteed but my brother is in the ballot with my uncles ST and his own, so obviously he has two chances but can't put a name down if they ask whose ticket he will be using, as that will depend on if either his or my uncles ballot application is a winner, if that makes sense.

TC seems the best way for us both to book, as we can both book on now, and it wont cost him anything if he doesn't get a ticket, just hope they don't ask for ST holders name who qualifies.

I'm in the same boat - I have a membership in my name which is guaranteed but the ST my dad uses is in someone elses name - I presume as long as he is successful in the ballot I just enter his name with TC & with the club

I’ve interpreted the Thomas cook one as the name must match the name on the season ticket /members card that qualifies. Don’t want to book a mate and then they don’t let him use Thomas cook because the name on the booking doesn’t match with the name on season ticket

We’ve booked with them. Flights will depart under control of the airport, but can’t see it leaving empty if the match runs over. There’ll be shuttles to and from the airport with UEFA apparently

thats our 3 in the ballot - no email but its in purchase history and i've screen grabbed the confirmation page just in case!

now the weeks wait and then if successful got to get there!! not easy this is it! haha

Only the UEFA ballot tickets will have names on...not Club issued tickets
