Was delighted for him midweek. He's had a tough few months so hopefully his classic Mané display against Porto kick starts his season. When him, Bobby and Salah are on top form they'll be unstoppable.

So, he’s a one-(hat)trick pony now, and that gets him a new deal...

Good move from the club if true. Tie up Firmino, Salah and him forever.

Scored as many as last season already, after being off form for a few months. Will hit 20 this season. What a player.

Incredible that despite having a 'quiet' season by his standards he is still close to getting to 20 goals in all competitions.

Actually think his performances have been very good for the last month/6 weeks even discounting his goals/assists. Played well against Man City, Southampton, Porto and today. Great that he scored after that miss too and we got to see that celebration.

They have been good, but last season he hardly made a mistake in a given game. And he was so smooth from day one. Remember his solo goal against Arsenal on day one of last season? It was incredibly clinical.

Genuinely think he's been like that or close to that level recently. But hey, I'm not complaining even if he isn't, we're still playing well and scoring for fun.

From what I've read all of the stats dispute that - like his output is actually even more impressive than last. Which leaves open the tantalising possibility that both are correct - that actually he hasn't been at his best but has nevertheless had a better output - which would suggest that he's getting into many more promising situations and that if he can hit the form of last season his production will go through the roof.

If he can score three more and get double figures in the league, that would be the fourth year in a row. For a non striker that would be remarkable.

He's scored better than 1 in 3 in the league and 6 goals in the CL so far,so i think if he keeps it up he'll be close.

I think it's pretty clear that the Firmino double kick celebration was the coolest thing Sadio has ever seen and is now going spend the rest of his career trying to recreate it.

People have been banging on about Sadio regaining his confidence. I don't think it's been a confidence issue with him, necessarily. I think he's been struggling physically after the injury he suffered while away with Senegal earlier in the season. He started this season looking like the Mane of last year, but since that international break he just hasn't looked right. We probably won't see the real Sadio again until he's had a full pre-season. He's still contributing and doing well, which is testament to his quality and attitude, but he's below the level we know he can perform at.

But which is the worst attempt? Sadio v Bobby or Albie v Studge?

My vote is on Albie. What the fuck was he doing with his arms? They are both mental though :D

Thats Mane though. He wont be graceful or seamless outside the box, hes all about clever movement and finishing off moves. Hes gonna go through games where he cant trap a ball or make a poor on ball decision, but he can use his pace and movement to score a goal or set something up out of nothing. Think he's had unwarranted stick this season because people are expecting him to be someone he isnt. Hes a very good part of our fluid attack.

28 starts, 14 goals and 6 assists. All after going through a pretty rough patch for a while this season.

There's at least 12 more games to go at least (assuming Porto don't have the comeback to end all comebacks). Should hit 20 goals this season.

His productivity goes under the radar due to Salah's ridiculous numbers, but there's not many wingers in the world who put those sort of numbers up. Under 10 acrsoss the top 5 leagues I reckon.

His 'poor form' is exaggerated, he's quite a scruffy player who doesn't seem to know what he's going to do himself half the time, which makes him unpredictable but also prone to losing the ball. He was the same last season but because he started the season with a big goal and was the only guy with pace and power in the team he really stood out. Between Salah, Firmino and Coutinho racking up the goals this season and his injury/suspension he hasn't really been our go to guy and that's being equated to being out of form, but really he's as productive as ever.

Also is there anyone else as good as Sadio at scoring while falling over?
