Hopefully find somewhere at the station to get a few beers for the train down. Looks like there'll be a fair few of us on that one. Better get them name badges out again....  ;D

There is a supermarket place called Divers on the station. If my memory serves me right they sell ale in there.

We are on the 9:27 from Barca Sants, looked on their site and it does mention Divers, no mention of them selling ale though, the long distance trains have all got bars on them if you don't mind paying a bit over the odds, its only two and a bit hours.

Divers are a well-known Spanish chain that can be found in lots of major transport stations. They offer snacks including crisps, confectionary and prepackage sandwiches. They also sell a large range of magazines in various languages. A small selection of souvenirs and toys are on offer, as well as guide books for Spain and beyond.

Location of Divers: Divers sits at the front entrance to Sants station, on the far right of the building. It is next to the pharmacy with the neon red sign.

Opening Times:
 Every day:  07:00 - 22:30

Who knows, the lad at the ticket office did not know either, so much for the tickets only being available to buy at Anfield.

Andy - are you going via Valencia? If so, found some good 'entertainment' of a blonde nature last night!!

Just got to Barcelona. Apparently train ticket to Castillion covers trip from airport so didn't have to buy another. Just typed in reference number and gave me a ticket for free which is a bonus.
No sun in sight though

Plac Major Villareal...short walk from the station

When you come out of the station in Vila-real, there's a tree lined road opposite between two old style warehouses. Walk up that for about 400m and you'll reach the plaza.

We're off to Barca tomorrow night, then down to Villarreal on Thursday. See you all in Plaza Major.

Was speaking to a Spanish mate today who has been in that away stand. Reckons it's a bit shite unfortunately. Lots of obstructed views.

Never been in the away section at the Madrigal but from other parts of the ground, it looks like one great big upper tier with all round excellent views.

Just a head's up for everyone....

The plaza mayor in Vila-real has only got three or four bars and is also going to be the meeting point for the home team fans (local brass bands, big paella being served @ 3pm and the reception point for the home team bus before the game).

There's a big square out in front of the stadium called the Plaza Labrador with about 15 bars and is where the police usually want the away fans to congregate. Don't be surprised if you end up having a bevvie there. It's a 10 min walk from the plaza mayor.

How much did you pay for train tickets yesterday mate?

That was our original plan but sacked it off as we could only find ones for over 100 quid.. so hired a car in the end

Bought them a week ago. £38 return.
Some website called Loco. Sat on it now. Carriage next to the bar which is a bonus.
Into Castellon about 4.30

fuck sake, french air traffic control strike tomorrow, flights may be affected. from easyjet website

Due to industrial action being taken by Air Traffic Controllers in France on Thursday 28th April we are experiencing disruption to a number of our flights across the network. 65% of easyJet flights fly over France and are subject to French air traffic regulations. Even flights not flying through French airspace might unfortunately be affected, if the aircraft operating the flight has been delayed due to the strike on previous flights. If your flight is delayed, PLEASE STILL ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT FOR YOUR ORIGINAL DEPARTURE TIME as there is a chance that the delays will decrease. In many cases, we have to push back our aircraft from the gate and then hold so that we can take advantage of potential improvements of departure slots. This can take hours in some cases, so please be patient when you see that the inbound flight to your destination has departed.  Although this situation is outside of our control we would like to apologise to any affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.

Cold and damp here now. Rain forecast for tomorrow. The away end is covered but exposed to the wind. It's like a big tier stuck on top of the end. It's either wrap up weather or warm yourselves with booze and the love of LFC.

Edit - just started howling it down.

Just all we need. We're flying from Birmingham and as of now, there's no delay/cancellation - just hope I don't wake up at 4am and find out they've cancelled it.

We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.
