Next weekend should be interesting. Could gain some points back. Spurs go to Stoke. Man City go to Chelsea. Arsenal play Everton at home.
Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. It's just plain wrong.

Gutted with tonight. We did more than enough to win. The 'Andy Carroll hate society' is out in force again, I see.

Just our luck to hit the post, twice.. again. That offside decision is hideous too.

If anyone is bailing on 4th, deactivate your account and join a Manchester City forum. This is going to be a bumpy ride, and there's plenty of bumps to hit before the end of the season :wave

We played well dominated most of the game, but were not lucky or clinical enough in front of goal.

Pepe also dealt with anything they could throw at us.

It looked like another game that was going to slip away, then a huge mistake from the ref sending Jay off gave them
the extra push to grab an undeserved winner.

We did not do a lot wrong and some of play was as good as last season, we really needed Maxi again.

I am so pissed off with that standard of a joke of a ref, as said before Dempsey was in Bellamy's face and Bellamy alos gets booked when Dempsey was lucky to not get a red.

fuck it

Kevin Friend and your lino you horrible cheating c*nts. Not a red card for Spearing, Suarez onside and scored a great goal, Senderos should have seen red. We hit the woodwork twice and Reina spills one to Dempsey. Not our night. Need to regroup and get as close to 15 from 15 as possible until City, not going to be easy.

Suarez was not onside...

My pondorous thoughts

Fucking frustratrating game. I am ripping my hair out with all the keeping efforts against us. That save against Downing......Another one out of the top draw.

Spearing was okay but we clearly missed Lucas and that's evident in the sheer volume of shots Fulham had on goal in the first half. Long range speculative shots granted but we weren't conceeding those before. Unlucky red I didn't even consider it a foul but that's just me.

Reina's going to make a mistake or two a season and this was the first one I can remember in a long while.

I think Suarez is making himself a victim. It's the boy who cried wolf. For me that was a penalty against Hangeland. If you deliberately obstruct the path of a player with no intention of going for the ball it has to be one surely. Referee's seem very reluctant to give him decisions at the moment.

Finally how did Bellamy get a yellow card? For what exactly, it was Dempsey acting the twat.

QPR at home
Villa away
Wigan away
Blackburn at home
Newcastle at home

That isn't even optimism, it's expectation.   :)

People definitely need to give themselves a shake though, the season is far from over.  Kenny got it wrong tonight, he doesn't need told that.  Carroll just didn't work, as much as everyone wants him too.  Our movement caused Fulham problems, not Carroll's aerial presence.  He took up room that Suarez and Bellamy thrive on.
QPR at home: 1 point
Villa away: 1 point
Wigan away: 1 point
Blackburn at home: 3 points
Newcastle at home: 3 points

I´ll predict it now.

OK.

Unlike others on here, I have taken the time and analysed the situation before posting and I have to say:

That referee was an abso-fucking-lute c*nt.

I have never seen such a display of inept, arrogant and downright fucking idiotic officiating than tonight. I am totally fucking beside myself with anger at that.

That said, Schwartzer having a great game against us? Probably due, given the howlers that he's had against us in the past.

For the Carroll baiters out there - the lad was great tonight as was Luis. Henderson is growing game by game, but you just cannot legislate for refereeing performances such as the one we were subjected to tonight.

Yes, I have been drinking, but if yous lot think that one loss to a side like that in circumstances like that spells the end of our season, you can all fuck off and support somecuntelse, as you obviously don't know you're arse from your elbow. This team has come on leaps and bounds since the disaster of last season and the season previous and perhaps in many ways it has overachieved thus far, but you look at other sides and then us (City apart) and I'm telling you we are not far off being a competing side.

I fucking hate losing, especially when you have done more than enough to win, but cunting, c*nt, c*nt referees such as that anal prolapse tonight makes me fucking seethe.

Fuck.

But based on all the evidence we have so far, we'll continue to raise our game against the bigger teams while wasting chances against the lesser ones, a problem exacerbated by the soft underbelly that has presented itself with Lucas being out.

This is exactly what Neville said on TV weeks ago. Many teams raise their game against the best teams but they hold back a bit against the weaker teams. That's what I saw tonight. Yes we played quite well but Fulham played quite well too........we have better players who should be trying that bit harder. I noticed the urgency after they scored.........some players need to show that urgency all through the match otherwsie they need to be moved on. We need winners and not players that can't play at the same intensity every match.

Yes I see improvement, yes I see us hitting the post, yes I see their goalkeeper playing well but as Neville said it's the lapses in concentration that loose games. We'll have great games but we need to attack the weaker teams as if we are already 2 goals behind.

Fulham got in between the lines too easily without lucas . It's not a mental hong it's a quality issue in the final third which is why we can't beat minnows we seem to be the only team allowed one or two really potent attackers at a time. Suarez and bellamy compared to spurs, arsenal and Chelsea have better Players than us in there front 4.

I'm pissed off as hell but let's please not ignore how much Henderson is improving with each passing match. Silver linings, people!

Top level football is now, unfortunately this won´t change.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Not a knee jerk reaction been thinking it for a while- we need a clinical finisher in the mould of Aguero or Adeybayor. Suarez isn't a clinical finisher for Liverpool and he needs help.

High Points:

Henderson showed signs of being a class act in the not too distant future
Charlie Adam continues to impress me, excellent vision
Enrique is outstanding, MOTM for me and bargain of the window all day long

Low Points:

I wont blame the ref - but Kevin Friend is Mr Magoo
We missed Lucas badly
Carroll doesnt look fit or good enough
The woodwork continues to thwart us
Did I mention Mr Magoo in black.............

Clearly offside? You must eat plenty of carrots. What happened to the benefit of doubt going to the attacker?

did you watch the game at all?  Suarez was out wide so the porn star could do fuck all in the middle and even there he was the best on the pitch a nd scored a wrongfully dissallowed goal.
It's a fair point though. 8 in 27 isn't a great return for a 20+ million 'star' striker.

I fucking love him, mind, but I think that rate would go up a lot if there weren't so much pressure on him. Not sure it helps that he's played so much either - it worries me that we've flogged him through another very hard-working 90-minutes against a team given free-reign to foul the absolute shit out of him.

We have been on a good run and although losing tonight is a setback its not the end of the world. The project Kenny has embarked upon will take years to come to fruition. Most games we have played, with the exception of the Spurs game, we can take positives out of. We are creating chances. Yeah we should be taking them but that will come. He has shippped out 11 players and 9 have come in so its been quite a turnaround in under a year in terms of the playing staff. I hope fans stay patient and realise that Kenny sees things as we do. Yes we should beat Fulham but we are still and are gonna be for a long time in recovery mode after RH and the cowboys. As for Andy Carroll, Kenny has to make it work given the outlay. He wouldn't get 1/2 it back for AC as it stands. The only good thing is AC is young and has the potential to come good. In Kenny I trust. Made up his our manager again. God it felt good to type that last sentence!

Suarez onside and scored a great goal

Neil I nearly always find myself agreeing with you, but having looked at it again, I think Suarez may have been fractionally off side

That camera angle is deceiving. Look at the line of the grass shadings and look at Suarez's position in relation to Sanderos

Ill say again mate - We dominated without creating any chances. The only real chance was Carrolls shot. Hendersons effort was a piece of individual skill out of nothing.

Right.

Firstly, there were referring errors left and right tonight: The persistent fouling went unpunished, the Suarez goal should have stood, and the Spearing red card even from my blinkered perspective was harsh.

Secondly, Kenny made some errors today; not including Maxi was the most obvious one. I am desperate for Andy Carroll to come good but at the minute he is just not fitting into any Liverpool side and it is disrupting the play of those around him. Also, I don't understand why he would bring Downing on as he is taking Carroll off, especially when the assets the pair have are most complemented when they are both on the pitch.

Thirdly, it was a frustrating performance. Liverpool didn't play poorly not by any stretch of the imagination but we probably didn't do enough to win the game. A draw would have been a fair result.

Finally, Spearing's sending off comes at the worst possible time as we are really, really short through the middle now.

It's gone, it was disappointing, frustrating, nothing can be done, let's move on and move forward.
I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

I'll not have a bad word said a bout Reina in tonight's game- he saved us from a 2-0.

Reina's mistake is not the problem, since we were under pressure by then. He can't keep it going forever. He's excused. Even with him making that mistake, we couldn't even score 1 goal- not 1 goal.

Forget the c*nt of a ref, we should have scored and we didn't and if you don't score, you're not going to win any games. If we had started with Max, we would'va had a better chance to score than starting with bloody Andy Carrol.

There is no getting away from the fact it was a horrible performance.  Sending off lost it for us, but the game should have been out of site at that stage.  Carroll is start to really bug me, times he can be great and other times you would love to give him a good kick in the hole.  Several times tonight he stood aside and
let the fulham centre back have a clear header out of defence, at least fucking challenge the dam thing.  Really frustrated right now, think i need to go for a walk.

Neil I nearly always find myself agreeing with you, but having looked at it again, I think Suarez may have been fractionally off side

That camera angle is deceiving. Look at the line of the grass shadings and look at Suarez's position in relation to Sanderos

Isn't the rule that it's only offiside if a part of the body a player can score with is beyond the last man? I can see what you're getting at, but it looks more like Suarez's arm, if anything, that's off.

In the Uruguay team, Suarez shares the front line with Forlan and Cavani, striker with good conversion ratio. The pressure seems to be off. At Liverpool, he has had to deal with Ngog and now Carroll, two misfiring strikers. We should probably bid for David Villa, although I personally think  he is over the hill.
