I saw a nice MaClaren driving around Sefton Park this afternoon.

Lovely car, but not my kind of colour scheme. Orange body, black wheels and orange brake calipers. I saw a Lamborghini at the Palm House a while back with the very same colour scheme too.

Remember when seeing a super car was a rare occurrence?

Was at Barton today, supposed to be on a helicopter flight. The American car club was there having a meet, some nice motors there.

A 1959 Chevy Impala, same as this, was my lads favourite

Nice car, Rob.

Shame the fog messed up your helicopter plans. Hope you get another chance to do it in future.

We do live in strange times. So much relative poverty, yet those with money seem to have a lot of it, hence the amount of super cars we see on the roads these days. I remember looking out of the window and seeing Daniel Sturridge across the road with his white Ferrari when he was with Liverpool. An Asian lad used to drive around in a black Lamborghini too, but not seen him for a while.

Years ago someone used to visit someone in our road driving a gold Lotus Esprit. That used to cause a real stir in the neighbourhood back then.  :)

Cheers mate - yeah we just reset the booking, need to wait a few days for new dates to be arranged.

Agree about those with money of loads, I regularly see McLarens, 911 Turbos, Tesla's, Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

It epitomised everything that was wrong with the British car industry.

I couldn't ever get on with the proportions of the XJ220 in side profile, the wheelbase is far to short for the length of the car.

There’s something about the old group b cars that are just brilliant to look at. The 288 above was built for that I think too.

Yeah extraordinary time, all the big gun car makers wanted to be apart of that.

Shame as VW group, Porsche, Ferrari and even Lamborghini with the Countach would have been in that until the FIA stopped it.

Seen a few documentaries on that era and it seemed the best spectacle in Motorsport in the 80's.

When I was a kid the Lombard RAC rally cars used to go past my house between stages.

Some of them were outrageous, the 205 was magnificent and certainly moved on the eye than the absurd Metro

My favourite Group B car was the Pug, I loved it and had a Tamiya model of it, I went the Parc Ferme at the Albert Dock in Nov 86, got to watch the mechanics working on Kankunnens car up close. Our kid got hit in the knee by Tony Pond in his 6R4 as he drove through the crowd.
