I honestly think some of it is in fact that narrative that "We have been behind so many times it isn't sustainable"

I think it has switched some of the players from a mindset of being able to get wins whenever, to one where it's like "Has our luck ran out this time"

Terrible.  I'm starting to think attrition and perseverance gets us through games rather than tactics and management.  Shocking for a while.

That's over 30 matches we've conceded first this season. That will take a lot out of you.   :butt

And we do fuck all to try and make it better to stop that. Every game we start the exact same way

Something doesn't look right with our set up, it's the same as Thursday night - wonder if we are just tired.

Too many times we play square balls across the midfield which are so easy to be cut out and we all seem to be attracted to the ball and lose it - so the press must not be working. Really poor from us and does feel like we have a few players massively out of form at the moment.

Has he fuck. He's pressed like a braindead moron and they've played in that space every single time with Olise coming off the line. The most over-rated player in our squad by a mile.

Don’t embarrass yourself in the half time threads people. Jones is brilliant.

You won't see Palace put in that type of effort against anyone else this season. Game raising cnuts

Salah looks drunk

Don't even think it's game raising, think they just recognise that the team in front of them is there for the taking and piss easy to take apart.
Never seen him playing I think. But looks like a good player.

So little intelligence, so little drive, so little technique, such poor decision making.
Matters little if we go on to win.  We are significantly poorer than the other two at the moment and will struggle to beat better teams than Palace

Just a collective shambles, our whole approach and attitude has been bad. This was supposed to be a reaction.

Even a comeback win won't really change much, there is zero authority to our game, we aren't playing like we are hungry for success.

Where's the bravery? Do the players actually believe?
Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

How many times have we fallen behind this season? You can praise our ability to come back but it's a completely unsustainable way of playing football.

Jota, Trent and Szoboszlai need to come on ASAP.

22 I think.

fucking rubbish...once again its April and we look absolutely dead on our feet.

if i have one criticism of Klopp during his tenure its these cold starts, where i can only assume that we have no idea how our opponent is going to set up, and we then adjust as the game goes on. Why don't we try and start on the front foot?

like Thursday, we'll be lucky if Palace don't get a few more...we look goosed physically and mentally.

the mentality monsters thing is long gone.

How the fuck can this lot be tired when they’re at walking speed for 90% of all their games. To go behind so many times this season is a sign of mental weakness. We shouldn’t be giving Crystal Palace a sniff of winning this game, like proper Liverpool teams would have done in the past.
Even with the manager doing a runner at the end of the season, there are no excuses for some of these displays.

i think all the decisions going against the team, combined with the "lucky" breaks our rivals have been getting, have just broken the team mentally. Rivals stroll to one easy victory after another, whilst for us every game is a battle.

Yeah, we've made it hard on ourselves sometimes, but it's not been made easy for us either. We've potentially blown ourselves out.

That said, We've often come back against odds like this during the season, so I'm going to hold off on the obituaries. :thumbup

Probably Endo’s worst game in a Liverpool shirt. Looks a mile off it, decisions and execution have been horrendous and his lack of athleticism has been exposed all half.

Off:
Bradley
Endo
Salah

On:
Trent
Harvey
Jota

Apart from Diaz we've got no creativity. Like we've run out of ideas.

Get Elliott, TAA and Jota on.

The problem with that is whose to say how in form TAA and Jota will be either from the off? At the moment we're stuck between two horrible situations within the team. Some players off form and others who are brought in are lacking in match practice. It's not easy to overcome.

Regardless of what happens second half we can't win 7 games like this and conceding goals we do. Its just not how titles are won.

We've lost all shape and purpose.

All the big efforts to turn around games like Luton and SheffU add to fatigue as well.

I didn't think it was possible but that's potentially a worse display than the first half on Thursday.

Nobody seems to have any composure or desire. Endo might as well have a Palace shirt on. Big half needed.

Apart from Robertson and Diaz and maybe Mac Allister the others have been poor.

The basics of the game are sharp passing and marking. We haven’t done either whereas Palace have.

The usual shit start by us and then nobody marking or their goal. Virgil nowhere. Wataru, Virgil and Konate’s marking has been crap……standing off their player allowing them time. Palace have been touch tight to us whereas we seem to think that we don’t need to mark.

Absolute shambles and the next 45 minutes is the most important half of the season. Do our coaches not do the basics?

Don’t embarrass yourself in the half time threads people. Jones is brilliant.

He's not brilliant at all. He has a few good attributes but has no killer ball and is defensively weak. A good squad player, that is all he will ever be.

1. Can we please go down and get a free kick when we're pulled off the ball. We're the only team that doesn't do this and we're constantly getting dispossessed.

2. Everyone is asleep. Liven up. And find your first touch. The amount of shin bounces is really frustrating.

3. Decisions - in the past couple of days the attacker comes short but the pass goes long, or vice versa. What is going on. If this happens the odd time, fair enough. If it happens way too often. It's like watching a rebuilt team on the first day of the season.

Either we win today, or we drop out of the title race. The season could be over in 45 minutes.

Another fucking pathetic performance. When we were promised a reaction from Thursday, I didn't think that reaction would be to roll over and have our tummy tickled. Sick to the fucking back teeth of this lot shipping cheap goal in the first 10-15 minutes, I actually cannot bear watching it week after week.

Make four changes at HT - only reason it's not 5 would be in case of injuries. What's the point in waiting and watching another 15 minutes of this comatose walking football. The midfield looks like peak 22/23 Liverpool, offering nothing in attack, not protecting the defence, and Palace with all the time and space in the world to play football through us with like 3 passes.

Endo looks like latter-day Fabinho - hook him and put Mac at 6. Bring on Elliott and Szoboszlai. I'd take Salah off for Jota - if you're going to offer nothing in attack, at least put in some defensive work instead of leaving Bardley to be constantly doubled up on. And bring on Trent, so we maybe can fashion a chance.

Literally 45 minutes to save our season, and honestly I don't see it.
