Then why would you need to post about it in here without adding any comment? :p
I did comment, I said it was bad news if it was his heel again.
Not sure why your making a big deal about my post.

Amazing performance. Well deserved victory. City barely had a sniff.

Henderson should be rested for Sunderland give him nice rest until January 15th now. Can can do the job along with Gini for Sunderland. For FA use Lucas / Can.

Not our best game, struggled to switch to 3rd or 4th gear, and City can count themselves lucky that we ahd a few players showing tired legs and tired minds. We had chances and potential chances that broke down due to an extra touch, or a heavy touch. Score could have been higher, but it's 3 points we needed, and 3 points we got against a team with title aspirations.

13 wins in a row by Chelsea, and they're only 6 points ahead of us, we're on a great run ourselves which is thankfully getting overshadowed.

On another note, that has got to be the worst refereeing display i've seen in ages. There weren't even any game changing decisions he had to make, but he still found some way to get most of the simple decisions wrong. Almost killed the game with his inept refereeing, in fact he probably caused our players more frustration and stress than the City players did.

Henderson with heel problems again is not great news.

I'd be interested if anyone knows who took the ball in the face when City were appealing for handball. Henderson looked a bit wobbly walking off and it looked like they might have given him smelling salts as he came off the pitch. I was thinking up till I saw your post that he'd come off under a concussion protocol. If it was him that got hit maybe Klopp is being a little cute with the Sunderland game coming up in a couple of days.

Classic Klopp win over Guardiola. Absolutely awesome.

Klopp set out a team just to nullify Guards and ensure a win. And he succeeded!

Well done, and may we have many more such games.

And they said we couldn't defend! Brilliant performance.

Not going to be critical like others are being with how we were in possession. City pressed us like we normally press other teams. It's difficult to deal with, but we adapted well and got the result without giving away any chances.

Remarkably comfortable given how often we were giving the ball away. Needed to win at all costs, and did it. Ground out a couple of wins on the last 3, sign of champions and all that :P

Not too worried about the fact that we play less than 48 hours from now. Sturridge will be well rested for Sunderland, Origi too as he only played the odd 20 minutes. Lucas can cover for Henderson, or at worst Moreno can go to LB with Milner moving up in midfield.

Well done guys.  You won the game with a moment of real quality.  We had more than enough possession, but did nothing with it.  I didn't expect anything from this game, but not to even test Mignolet was pretty dismal.  Good luck to you for the rest of the season.  I may pop back before the return game if that's ok :)

Never thought I'd see a Pep team so poor on the ball, concerned?

Some people predicted a comfortable win but no one predicted a clean sheet. The back four were immense and Mignolet was solid as ever (feels strange typing that, but whatever). Gifi was largely terrific too, Firmino was excellent in the press but less good once he actually got hold of the ball. Feel like if we'd brought Sturridge on we'd have scored another but it seems churlish to complain about anything considering.

As for City, they look far off a Guardiola team and I lost count of how many times one of them booted it out of play by accident. Sterling bottled it as usual against us. In a way I wish we didn't boo him as it seems like the kind of small time thing Everton would do, but it's so effective I can't really argue against it.

Well we were not at our best but we completely nullified the other best attacking side in the division. City were pathetic given the riches in their side. A great defensive display from LFC as we are not used to having less of the ball. Lovren unparalleled for me, MOTM. Great header Gini and delighted his goal was crucial. Happy new year all fellow Reds.
