Yes, when Villa break they are in trouble as they are so open.
Relying on Gilmour to cover in front of the defence is mad, again he's just so slow to cover ground it makes it even easier for Villa. Hope he's starting next week

Shots in against these next week, both their ‘keepers are so ponderous with their movement.

Just get the ball to Szoboszlai!

It’s hard for Brighton without Caicedo and MacAllister. Their midfielder looks a bit lightweight now and they’re getting murdered in transition. Need more athleticism in there.

They do have those players - Dahoud and Baleba, Pedro, Igor - who can give them more athleticism but they’ve all played very little so far.

Villa got their tails up here.

If they had another Caicedo in there alongside him they might get away with it. As it is though, yeah we just need to kill them in transition.

Brighton need to take a time-out  :P

All over the shop.

That sums it up they have no control at all, goal being checked.

I know it's not our style but feels like if we just sat back and countered next weekend we'd win about 6-1. Should be plenty of opportunities regardless though.

Wow, some start for Villa. They're another side similar to Brighton in a sense who can put great wins together like this but lose games they shouldn't. Life of a mid table side I guess.

Brighton will concede plenty this season as seen so far in the league and Europe. Next week is a huge opportunity to put those defeats last season there well behind us. The midfield is obviously not as good but that's not a back 5 who'll be able to keep too many clean sheets IMO.

Brighton should have done better there. I mean if they get another goal, they will feel a lot more confident, it's that type of game.

Villa are getting a lot of joy hassling them in midfield for turnovers, think we'll definitely get chances the way we play.

I agree, said the same thing when West Ham battered them recently. Every time they went forward they looked like scoring. I think that should be our game plan personally, but then again we're relatively untested in actually sitting back as we want to be controlling games. Key could be their midfield which has been well weakened whereas ours looks like it can go on to be one of the best around right now. Similar to today a draw probably isn't a bad result but it's going to be a big opportunity to win this season, big game in the week for Brighton too.

He basically fell over into his leg. It was definitely a foul. Absolutely no doubt about that. Dunno if it was too long before the goal though.

I'm not sure the game is over yet, next goal is vital. If Brighton get it don't underestimate them getting more goals. They actually started off this game better, but Villa have been so ruthless.
