It's funny how Wolves fans remembered the game in December as they saw it as a game with a series of missed opportunities. I saw it a different way in that we nullified the diagonal balls that they hit behind full backs for their own wing backs to run onto, the main way they get behind teams. As a consequence we limited their 'chances' to long range efforts which on the whole were relatively straight forward to deal with. They can go more direct too, but I think we coped with that quite well too.

My Wolves mate thought I had a very blinkered view and didn't accept that assessment, be interesting to see how they get on going forward when more teams work them out. For now they've been a breath of fresh air in the premier league for me.

I'm actually playing a match against my mate in our Golf club's knockout competition on Saturday and I have a few shots on him, hopefully I can get through and our Liverpool V Wolves golf match will provide a good omen!  ;D

So I won my golf match against my Wolves mate today but it went all the way to the eighteenth. The standard of play was atrocious, holes being halved with 6s and 7s - I even halved one hole with a 9 ffs! So the win could be a good omen for tomorrow, I hope the standard of football is much better than our golf though.  :(

Hoping for a solid win, Wolves will be up for it, could be pleasing on the eye as they can play without fear. We need to show them though that we mean business and put them to the sword.

Town was rammed this afternoon with all sorts of tourist types decked out in red.  Clearly loads have come from all over, perhaps more in hope than expectation.  Got a sneaky feeling there is one last twist in the title race.  Lets get well ahead tomorrow and wait for The Seagulls to shit on City.

With all the talk of what Brighton have to do, it feels like we're forgetting the fact that we've got a game to play ourselves! Wolves are a really good team who have played good football this year. As long as we beat these I'll have no regrets as it's not in our hands but it won't be a stroll in the park. I'm sure our team of mentality monsters will be fully focused on the job at hand though so there's no need to worry about that but the fans who are going need to get behind the team for 90 minutes and help us to one last win.
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

Might travel up myself. I've got friends there. Any objections?
If you ask Smalling and Brown if they'd rather play Suarez or Carroll, they'd say Suarez all day long, because he's not going to bully them or run in behind them.

Unlikely though it is to stay there, there will be a Premier League trophy at Anfield. Here's the one from 2014, very strange to look at.

Yes very weird thought there will be a trophy there today !

Is that picture genuine?! Never seen that before. I know it means absolute FA in the scheme of things but just weird to think that was actually at the ground in 2014 ready to go!

Hopefully we're seeing it again around 5pm later today  ;)

You just know if it was to happen we will be behind at half time with City in front and the mood will go downbeat, we concede another, then we hear something happening in the other game and all of a sudden we realise we need 3 goals in 10 minutes just so we can top their bloody Aguerrrooo moment in the dying seconds in the most dramatic of ways possible. It's the only way for years i've ever imagined us finally winning it in! Whatever happens though this team of ours is absolutely incredible and will get the send off to Madrid that they deserve.

Klopp has said nice things about them too. Think there's a lot of mutual respect, as there is between Klopp and Rafa. Rafa didn't roll over when they played us, can't see Wolves doing so either.

That said, they do have 7th locked up, and other than the usual professional pride and the players' standard desire to win (which all players naturally do), they have nothing to play for. Surely our intensity and need to win will be stronger, and our players and team are "better". With other sides we might be worried about the pressure affecting the players, but this lot have shown that they can deliver when they have to.
