VAR wasn't going to over turn that as the Referee had ruled it out. If the ref lets that go then VAR probably don't over turn it because there's not enough in it to be considered a clear and obvious error.

Clattenburg said as much earlier when Isak got the penalty for Newcastle. If the on field referee doesn't give it then VAR wouldn't either.

We can't control the refs either, bent or other we just need to do our bit. Which is be more clinical in the vital areas.

Another episode of 'Shite Team with the Keeper Having a Worldie' that we're involved in. Burnley are fucking dross, they have no place in the PL playing like that. Their only hope is that their keeper is a bit decent, because that should be 4 or 5 already.

As for us, I'm delighted that Darwin shut up the pundits. Everything else is just ticking along in the manner of this being a game we could do without in the schedule. Which is the biggest danger, because they only have to get one bit of luck in our box instead of their own and inevitably they will be back in it. Would be nice to see a bit of Diogo in the second half though, just to get a bit of freshness up front. Cody is having a better game tonight but he's had a lot of game time recently so I'd like to preserve him if possible. Midfield isn't quite clicking, they do look a bit like they've never played together but no one has done anything drastically wrong. All in all, a weird game, but we're winning so that's all that matters. Couple of quick goals in the second half please so we can rotate players out.

That's exactly it. Tierney could give it and let VAR check it. But the second he blows it's a question of interpretation - "Has he made a clear and obvious error". No way the VAR is overturning. It's plain sight shit.
