Rumours flying about Nunez is benched for Diaz. Silly decision if that’s true.

Considering Jones and Nunez played the full 90 against West Ham I think Klopp's plan was always to play Gravenberch and Gakpo against Arsenal.

No issue with Gakpo starting but we need pace out wide. Diaz shouldn’t be starting ahead of him on current form.

Glad Gakpo is starting but it should really be Diaz dropped, not Nunez. There will be plenty of space for Nunez to exploit, against Ben White. Diaz doesn’t seem capable of doing that at the moment.

Not really.
Diaz is fresh.
Nunez is great to bring on and scare the shit out of them. As long ss Jones starts we’ll be fine.

Would be bizarre. Arsenal will come at us so it’s the type of game where pace in behind could really be advantageous and this is the game we choose to drop our only genuinely pacy forward having played him against a bunch of parked buses in recent games. It would be a very slow forward line… Arsenal will push up and really squeeze us, and on the face of it we won’t have an obvious out-ball.

What a game this would be to win. Def one where we need to be taking any proper chances we get.
Fancy arsenal to score at least once but up to us then to see how many we can convert.

They've built a great team at Arsenal. But the glaring potential weakness is Raya with a noisy Anfield playing on his mind.
Let us never forget Rafael Benitez and what he did for us. A fighter full of guts and passion. A gentleman full of class and dignity. A football manager full of intelligence and pure genius. A Legend.
Adios Rafa, buena suerte.

Eh? I did think it was a bold move putting Tsimikas as centre forward.

I think Gakpo has earned his starting spot but I also think that Nunez will be a great option off the bench against tired legs.

Gomez, Nunez, Elliott and Gravenberch are great subs that will change the game.

Darwin doesn’t really deserve to start does he. And Gakpo does.
Let’s see what happens in the game but I think it’s a good decision.

We need to remember that we are losing Salah shortly, so Nunez will become more the mainstay as Jota won't be rushed back. So, I can understand the team news today.
