Jones is an absolute monster off the ball.

Yep sprints to counter press or track every time, he’s a beast, also impossible to get the ball off him.

Giant swoon for having Harvey buzzing around there and making angles for everyone. Huge difference to have a big brain and willing worker out there, he's elevated the performance of the midfield. Made it easier for Jones and Szob - they've all looked great

Still need a little more off the 2 up front.

But good I thought

Thought we have been good overall. Apart from Gakpo at the end - no real clear cut chances. Just need to sort that final pass.

Don't imagine West ham will be as poor 2nd half so may be more space to exploit.

Quansah Eliott, Szoboszlai all very good. Jones should be staring most games for us in midfield also.

Exactly the same as the Utd game. Most of our attacking play consists of shit shots from shit positions. No control or creativity in the final third. Great goal by Dom but seriously need to start creating some good chances.
Eh? No control?

Imagine what West Ham fans are thinking after that. Liverpool have been very good.

Been great to see width on both sides tonight with good overlaps. So much better all around and Quansah with some lovely passes finding our midfield all the time

Pretty much a repeat of the weekend. Not a clear cut chance and a lot of long range shots where one of them has actually went in. Gakpo and Nunez need to do a lot more going forward

Bizarre analysis to be honest. Didn't see it that way as well. Gakpo should have put us 2-0 up and Elliott and Jones have found good positions in the box a few times too.

This is nice, isn't it? Winning all the first and second balls. Great possession. Passes that are imaginative and sticking. Everyone pretty much playing well. If we'd played like this at the weekend we'd have been 3 or 4 up by now.

I don't think it is, we've looked like opening them up quite a bit and we've moved the ball much quicker.

Agreed, we're moving the ball much better and faster. West Ham are set up very similar to how Man Utd were, so can see why people think it's similar, but we are ten times better. What is up with the pitch though? The same thing was happening on Sunday.

Dominating, intense half of football from our boys, which is brilliant to see. Shame about the finishing but that goal from Dom is fucking unreal.

Special shout out to Tsimikas who's been brilliant in Robbo's absence and MOTM for me alongside big Dom so far.

Quansah is a player, no doubt. He'll be a permanent fixture in the main squad from now on.

A few more now and then draw Boro in the Semis please.

I love Harvey Elliott.

I disagree, I think our build up has been good but we lack composure at times. Instead of sustaining pressure we have a tendency to shoot on sight now, and our first touch at crucial moments is erratic. Nunez and Gakpo both guilty of it in the first half.

I think our attack is lacking some confidence at the moment, hence the whole team being trigger-happy.

Why would we when West Ham have set up entirely different to united? West ham have pushed up the pitch and the gaps between there midfield and defensive at times is massive, plus they aren't even at the races physically.

A good first half. We are in control and I think we have better pace in our game. Great shot by Szoboszlai. Like what I see from Quansah. He could choose to play it safe and simple but he plays the ball forward. Quite aggressive passes and he finds his target too. West Ham can't just let him have the ball and hope he can't do something.
Hope we can keep it going in the second half.

Except lack of it probably cost Darwin a great goalscoring chance.

It makes so much difference to our play having our right back get forward down the wing. It creates more space for everyone and we just look way more threatening.

Puzzled how anyone thinks this is the same as the United match. We are playing at a quicker pace, keeping the pressure on them far more, moving the ball more, and we've had better looks on goal where as a lot of stuff was blocked and slow.

Our intensity is much higher, its not even comperable

That’s my point, we’re doing well progressing up to the final third then it’s like they don’t know how to create a chance so just shoot regardless of where they are. I’m not having a go , just find our lack of creativity a bit concerning.
