The only quibble with that team would be having Gakpo instead of Diaz, I think someone else made an excellent point about bringing Diaz off the bench against a tired team. But having said all that, get an early goal and hopefully that will put huge pressure on Palace from their fans.

That is an understrengthed palace side by the looks of it. Really go to be getting at those fullbacks and whoever is covering for Doucoure in midfield should be less solid too

Would be nice to have an early goal before fatigue sets in for the front three as our attacking sub options are little limited, and not as pacey

Good. Right, win it from the off. Elliott and Jones and Gakpo to come on and control the game when we are in front. If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plan !! Huge game for Quansah this. Wild wind, high ball set piece and break away heaven for Roy and his evolved football team. This is it. A win here and we are really motoring. Come on Reds. Nuñez and Salah to score.

Missing 3 nailed on starters and  4th but on the bench

Mitchell, Doucouré and Eze all out for Palace and  Olise on the bench

No Eze & Olise is good to see

Yeah, even with them in Palace aren't a great side but without them they've got to be worse. Won't be easy but if we're serious about winning this title we'll regret not taking three points here.

I like Clyne but both of their full backs are ageing and pretty limited. They'll spend a lot of time behind the ball you'd expect, got to exhibit similar patience as we did the other night. Hopefully they've given up on this manager, not that a Roy Hodgson side should be taking something against Jurgen Klopp anyway.

Why isn't Konate starting matches anymore? He's been back from injury for a while now.

He was being rotated with Matip and having his minutes managed. We'll have to manage his minutes more now as we can't afford him to pull a muscle and be out for a month or two.

The way the fixtures are falling (Thursday night/Sunday afternoon or Wednesday/Saturday) he can't really start both games in a week.

Also Nunez vs Andersen, good chance to show he’s matured and take the game to him. Let him go flying into tackles and use the space that opens up to release teammates in behind

No Eze & Olise is good to see

Olise a wildcard off the bench but with their line up we should be going for it more from the start and trying to get a goal or two up at half time, rather than be chasing it second half and give them encouragement.

Their line up offers little going forward but can be sturdy at the back.

Too risky a Weds and a Sat morning. In one of the games we went down to 10 Jurgen said it wasn't good for his body, he's just fragile. He's just one of them we'll never get midweek, weekend, midweek out of so vital we do something in January even with Quansah coming through.

If your top goalkeeper is available in a must win league match you have to go with him.

I assume if Konate stays fit he'll play against United and Arsenal as Van Dijk's partner. Quansah will probably come in midweek for more game time and then West Ham in the cup.

Met office forecast is showing no rain and even a little sun.

But quite strong wind.

Did it rain overnight though? Pitch might still be heavy going. But if it's drying out then that favours us.

Great player, but I don't think you're getting much more than a game a week from him.

The way Klopp plays it’s not surprising he’s getting these niggly injuries. Its something I said during his first season is that the way our CB’s play his body will be in bits by the time he’s 30.
