I was a 15 yr old kid who had no idea of the words to Poor Scouser Tommy. I saw them printed in a Liverpool mag and watching the Liverpool v Newcastle game on video started singing along getting the tune in my head and getting to know the words.

Vast majority of our songs are on this very website and with youtube it really is not hard to pick up and learn.

Just get it done.

Exactly.

I remember one of the first games I went to with my dad, when I was about 13, being sat in the Main Stand spending half the match watching the Kop singing Fields Of Anfield Road. I had no clue what the lyrics were but I loved the sound of it. As soon as I got home it became my personal mission to find out the lyrics so that I knew and could join in next time.

It's something that anyone who's going to the match should do, in my opinion.

I wish there was the internet years ago to get the right words.......as a kids standing on the Kop I sang what I thought the words were. I have posted on here somewhere before about what words I used to sing.
Now you're gonna believe us........I thought was.......We're riding on a playbus! What the fook I thought the playbus was!!!
I randomly started singing Eezer good, Eezer good. He's ebenezer good.......never twigging that it was He's a c@nt, he's a c@nt the referees a c@nt!!!
I did once think that PST was sang for Tommy Smith!!! :boxhead

No excuses anymore for not knowing  ;)

This gets sung most games, but with only 1 or 200 joining in,
learn the words and lets get it belted out.

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKp2e1gCn_c&feature=player_embedded

Every other Saturday's me half day off
And it's off to the match I go
You’ll see me walking down the Anfield Road Me and me old pal Joe
We love to see the lasses with their red scarves on
We love to hear the Kopites roar
But I don't have to tell you that best of all
We love to see the Liverpool scooooore (scooore)
We've won the English League about a thousand times
UEFA was a simple do
We gave some exhibitions in the FA Cup
We are the Wembley Wizards too
But when we won the European Cup in Rome Like we should have done years before
We gathered down at Anfield
Boys a hundred thousand strong
To give the boys a welcome hoooome
Kenny ohhh Kenny I'd walk a million miles for one of your goals oh Kenny ohhh Kenny...

That's my favourite song :)

That's pretty special  ;D

When the opposition goalkeeper is lining up a goal kick (in lower league games primarily), my ex used to think the chant was:

Try this!!

Here's a song about a football team
The greatest team you've ever seen
A team that play total Football
They've won the league, Europe and all.
Chorus:
A Liverbird upon my chest
We are the men, of Shankly's best
A team that plays the Liverpool way
And wins the championship in May
With Kenny Dalglish on the ball
He was the greatest of them all
And Ian Rush, four goals or two
Left Evertonians feeling blue
(Chorus)
Now if you go down Goodison Way
Hard luck stories you hear each day
There's not a trophy to be seen
'Cos Liverpool have swept them clean
(Chorus)
Now on the glorious 10th of May
There's laughing reds on Wembley Way
We're full of smiles and joy and glee
It's Everton 1 and Liverpool 3
(Chorus)
Now on the 20th of May
We're laughing still on Wembley Way
Those Evertonians are feeling blue
It's Liverpool 3 and Everton 2
(Chorus)
And as we sang round Goodison Park
Four Ian Rush Goals Had Made Their Mark
They're probably crying still
at Liverpool 5 and Everton nil.
(Chorus)
We Remember them with pride
Those mighty reds of Shankly's side
And Kenny's boys of '88
There's never been a side so great
(Chorus)
Now back in 1965
When great Bill Shankly was alive
We're playing Leeds, the score's 1-1
When it fell to the head of Ian St John
(Chorus)
On April 15th '89
What should have been a joyous time
Ninety six Friends, we all shall miss
And all the Kopites want justice (JUSTICE!)
(Chorus)
the angels came one sunny day
they came to take our bob away
the greatest sight for you to see
three European cups for bob paisley
(chorus)
we went to Rome in 84
we won the treble like never before
Barney rubble was the man
who won the cup for Joe Fagan
(chorus)
Now we sang round Goodison Park
Those Evertonians in a nark
44 yards were in attack
the sweet right foot of Gary Mac
(chorus)
Now under Rafa Benitez
We've got Alonso, Morientes
And Robbie Fowler in attack
the championship is coming back

I'm not even sure if there are any agreed lyrics for after that. There should be with the King coming back.
Love that. Only heard it once all season I think.

Shouldn't it end on the justice verse though?

...the other minor issue is that they've re-named the divisions since it was written. Not sure if I want to be back in the championship :-X
"I want to build a team that's invincible, so that they have to send a team from bloody Mars to beat us." - Bill Shankly

Absolutely. Penning new verses for an already perfect song with the right ending is pointless.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

My daughter is 11. This is her 4th season. I always knew she'd want to come to the match eventually, from when she was a toddler she'd sit and watch the whole of MoTD. Two things that got her hooked from the first match she went to - having the banner pass over her head like she'd seen on the tele and belting out the songs that she'd already learnt from this website and me constantly singing them to her in the car. (funny thing is my boy is 5 and loves playing football but won't sit still for 5 minutes to watch it, took him to Carra's testimonial and we got through half a kilo of crisps just to keep him in his seat)

Last few seasons we've mainly been in Upper Annie Rd and apart from the 'big' games you barely hear the Kop.

(Would love to see adult/child tickets offered all over the ground like we used to)

Used to take my daughter from when she was about 10. Always tried to act with a bit of restraint when I was with her but sometimes the passion would take over. Now she is all grown up and 1000 times cleverer than me but says one of her funniest memories at a match was watching me not swearing at Heskey for best part of a half. She says that she knew that 'Daddy stayed outside' and 'what happens inside a ground stays inside a ground' when I took her the games. Mummy doesnt have to know the details! Bless her.

Luis Garcia, he drinks Sangria... ;D My favourite song! Obviously FOAR is a big hit because it gets so load after a big goal is scored. The rendition after the 2nd goal on Sat against UTD could prob have been heard on the M62!

Every Other Saturday is becoming a favourite too. Such a great 'feel good' song. A few of us tried getting it going at UTD at the wkend in 305 but was only 20-50 of us at the most. Needs more airing to get it going.

We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

Most people in this world are tits. The fact they have an allegiance with Liverpool Football Club doesn't change that.
