This is dire from Newcastle. Howe has a lot of goodwill after a freak season last year but that could soon dissipate. Wouldn't be surprised if he's for the chop in the summer.

It's rarely from a bad tackle or the like to mitigate it a bit. They're always picking up non contact muscle injuries.
