We where far from average when we had Babbel, we did the treble and finished 3rd in his first season.
Anelka.Instead, we bought spit the dog.
Vegard Heggem
Anelka.
Oh come come. We were papering over cracks.Sure Ged won us a few pots, I had high hopes, we all did, but back then we were average.Rafa reminded us, for five minutes, what greatness could be again.Back to the question...
And that is why Fitzy is the true GOAT.
If Harry can get Spurs to the CL 1/4 final then he could get England to the World Cup final.
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.
Some ridiculous suggestions in here the word "legend" is used too much now days
Isn't that the point of the thread? Players who are not legends but given a different set of circumstances may have achieved far more at the club and them possibly become legends.
how many players that play for a club actually go on to be "legends" though a few players on this where decent enough players does it matter that they didn't become legends
Just to put a twist on it. Although he was a legend in his 9 years here, I'd throw in Craig Johnston.Retiring at the age of 28 to look after his ill sister. Yes, he did it all, but he also could of done a lot more.
Does it matter? Not really.
Left us 10 years too early....
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.
A dead animal is a dead animal. And a piece of meat is a piece of meat.
Crosby Nick never fails.
1. Don't call them pots as if they were mere distractions2. The sheer number of games in 00/01 proved that we were more than just an average team papering over cracks - you can't play 60+ matches and still keep going in the 120th minute in a mtach in May.3. Don't ruin an interesting premise of a thread with a veiled attack on Ged's achievements
