Henderson "should" be playing in a much more restrained role here so he should get plenty of cover.

Playing to our strengths and just getting forwards on the pitch isn't the worst idea. Let's just go full 13/14

Also means we can actually rotate the likes of Fabinho/Henderson/Thiago, assuming we stick with it.

Like the Bournemouth game we've just got to get at them from the start.

Pointless playing 4-3-3 if whatever combination we play we're wide open anyway, so may as well flood the attack. For tonight at least, next two league games we've got to be far more solid.

I mean, who does like just putting all the attackers on the field and going for it? Just kind of a "f it" response to the last game in a way.

On the other hand our only other game where we just threw caution to the wind was the Derby and we weren't good. There's nobody on the field there that will actually play as a 10 instead of a forward and I almost wonder if it will be more akin to the 4-2-2-2 we had at times in 17/18 when Coutinho, Mane, Firmino and Salah were all on the field at the same time.

Excited to see regardless, up the Reds!

to be honest that double pivot ain't bad. They will do the job.

We will have to make sure that the front four don't become too isolated. The #10 will have to do all the linking up.

Tsimikas needs to show that he can block crosses too. IMO he is better than Robbo going forward but much worse when it comes to defending.

Line up is exciting on paper but I worry about how open we might be. Also, it’s not ideal having all of Jota, Salah, Nunez, Diaz all starting if this will be a regular thing. Not much chance to rest/rotate.

Wonder if Trent's role will change with this line-up. I can see him coming into the midfield with Thiago and Hendo when we have the ball. But then, I can also unfortunately see us being torn up on the counter-attack on the right hand side (w/ Trent inside and Salah high up the pitch) when we lose the ball.

Will be interesting!!

I would expect a 4-2-3-1 Nunez as the one, Thiago and Hendo as the double pivot with Jota, Salah and Diaz rotating. The fulbacks being more conservative.

Weird that we've got Elliott and Carvalho, two out and out 10s, but we're not using them the first time we play 4231.  Feels like Klopp just wanted to get that front four lots of time against Rangers because on paper we should just roll straight through them.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.
