Basel - if you're doubting their ability to get past Liverpool you cant have been taking notice of European football the past few seasons. They held off United to get into the Rd of 16 two seasons ago and narrowly failed to do the same last season, beating Chelsea along the way.

I'd say that puts them in with a great chance of getting past Liverpool. You'd have to think also Madrid will have a big say about who gets through. I doubt they'd want to leave it to chance that a Liverpool team with their tails up in the KO phase could return to haunt them. Last games in that group could be very interesting if it's close.

He hasn't been paying much attention himself to Basel. If he had he'd know in the last few months they've lost Salah, Stocker, Sommer and their manager. Rebuilding process going on there. But let them believe what they want.

We've avoided Juve, Dortmund, PSG plus even Schalke, Zenit & Shakhter from Pot 2.... but the majority of them are trying so hard to convince themselves Basel are some unknown formidable team. Davek being the ringleader. All because they beat Chelsea last season (and still failed to qualify anyway).
