I thought I'd put this thread up as a bit of safety advice. As most people are aware, electrical products carrying the CE mark mean that those products have been tested and approved to meet European safety standards. However some products carry a very similar 'China Export' mark which may not have been tested to the same standards. It seems to be a practice designed to mislead consumers, so just stay 'switched on' when you are looking into the purchase of an electrical product.
