Uefa Cup Final 2001
« on: November 7, 2005, 09:37:34 pm »
having seen the thread title golden goal i got myself excited thinking it was the UEFA cup final in 2001 vs. Alaves. This was particularly exciting to me as i haven't seen any highlights/goals of that match since, well, 2001! i know there are some great posters on here with lots of liverpool footage and if anyone has a collection of the goals or simply highlights i would be very appreciative. It's easy to forget how exciting a match this was since Istanbul!!

Wouldn't mind some footage meself, but try the DVD of the treble season! Should be able to pick it up quite cheap now!

How bigs the file?

Its 5 mins 7 secs long and it weighs in at a not so mighty 32MB. Is there a limit to how much you can send via email or does that depend on your ISP?

Give me half an hour or so and I'll see whether i can upload it to yousendit.com

No need to bother I think! The file that's been uploaded is about the same file size!

Thanks anyway! :thumbup

Stevie G looked like he's 15, and Carra would never let someone like Contra mess around with him like Contra did for Alaves' 2nd goal

Rigobert Song!!!!

Are you sure its him? I'm sure he left in the late 1990's as according to the official website.
I thought it might have been Heskey but I could be wrong.

If you download the yousendit.com version it shouldn't ask you for any licence. Just download it to your hard drive and you should be able to view it again and again.  Hope this helps.

Squad list for 2000/01 went something like:

1. Westerveld
2. Henchoz.
3. Ziege
6. Babbel.
7. Smicer.
8. Heskey.
9. Fowler.
10. Owen.

etc. etc. etc.

Hence, no number 4.

on Song

Song made 38 appearances for the Reds but didn't manage a goal, and his last appearance for Liverpool was a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at Anfield on September 23rd. He played just four games in the 2000-2001 season. . .

He certainly produced some performances of true grit for the Reds in the 1999-2000 season. None better than when he marked Australian winger Harry Kewell out of the game during the Reds 2-1 victory at Elland Road. A player who always gave his best and played with a smile on his face.

it's never been released on dvd. Get yourself a dvd recorder with a hard drive and a copy of the video. Conversion should take about 3 hours.
