There was a video called the mighty reds which was about the 87-8 team. Showed highlights of some games but it managed to squeeze in all 90 mins of the forest game

Forest were a pretty good team too. We could have been 6 up at half time

That Dortmund game. From the spectacular bus welcome by the scaffolding near the King Harry, to one of the maddest nights I’ve ever experienced on the Kop. That feeling of inevitability as soon as the Coutinho goal hit the back of the net. Probably the most ‘belief’ I’ve ever felt in a crowd.

I missed that Everton game as I was travelling in Australia at the time. I was on a bus from Alice Springs to Townsville that took 27 hours (it was a fair old distance!)...finally found out the result about a day later via tried and trusted Internet cafe route.

That IS a long way. I drove it once in the 90s in an old Kombi (cue Men at Work). Single track for a lot of the way, remember having to drive off the tarmac into the dirt whenever a road train came barrelling the other way. Not easy back then to get the footy results in the middle of the outback!

We could have broken the journey up but having read the guide books Tennant Creek or Mount Isa didn’t sound the most hospitable! I missed the first leg of the Barca semi as I was sleeping in a cave in Coober Pedy!

We stopped in Mount Isa. Only vague memory is a long row of blokes drinking beer in a crap bar with an equally long row of “pokies” flashing away behind them (actually that could’ve been anywhere in Australia!)

I didn't get a ticket, was 14 at the time but I can still remember the build up, the nerves. We were absolutely massive under-dogs. Chelsea had a hell of a team building at that stage - I genuinely don't think any of their players believe they would be knocked out that night, they didn't see that atmosphere coming.

Surprised Mourinho actually showed some class going round there at the end shaking hands. Although I suspect him clapping the fans at the end was him saying 'well done you forced the goal in'. Always felt Mourinho secretly loved what our fans could do though. He knew Chelsea fans were never going to give him that sort of atmosphere.

It’s made that all these big games from last year have rolled round. Since the season was suspended it feels like everything is on hold and should still be late March!

Still the best game I've ever seen, tops the lot..even Istanbul & Barca,Dortmund.

One of the best nights I’ve had supporting Liverpool I reckon. Watched it in a bar in Sydney, midnight kick off, probably about 75% of the place supporting Liverpool. Absolute bedlam for both goals!

Good to watch some of that again. I got in a bit of a state in the post-match celebrations and ended up falling fast asleep on the grass next to Cardiff castle. Woke up god knows what time in a state of complete confusion, legs battered and bruised from falling over about three rows of seats when the winner went in. Good times

The day after we played Alaves I think I flew home and made arrangements to spend a month in the Betty Ford Clinic (check in delayed until after the Charlton game of course!)

Does anyone else remember just before kick off, going past that big hotel on the corner with Ian Rush stood on the balcony? It was late and everyone should really have been going into the stadium, but there was Rushie, so of course instead hundreds of supporters had stopped to sing his name and generally worship the man

Thing is, I can’t remember if that was 2001 or 2006. Probably 2006 because I think the ‘Rafatolla’ was carried past around about the same time adding to the general delirium of the crowd. Christ, Cardiff was great for cup finals. Can’t they switch it back there?!

Lost all their best players who caught the eye in this cup run and soon got relegated. They’ve been back in La Liga recently though, possibly even this season?

Maddest game I never saw this. Probably say this every year but having watched the Cup Final in Sydney, Flew to New Zealand on the Monday. Got up early to watch this in Christchurch, went to the casino, ordered a pint and found out it wasn’t on tv there. Wandered the streets for a while, called my mum who commented down the phone for a while and calmly informed me Jordi Cruyff had made it 4-4. By this time shops were opening so found an Internet cafe and watched live text commentary of the Golden Goal before celebrating with a McNasty's breakfast!

Yeah they’re the only ones I remember. Didn’t Contra go to Milan or have I imagined that? Moreno was an absolute handful in that game and was inexplicably subbed off at 3-3.

41 years ago today - Spurs 0 - LFC 1 .....goal of the season followed by the battle of The Seven Sisters!....Im sure anyone who was there will still have vivid memories of the aftermath of Terry Mac's magnificent winner....the most on-top game ive ever been to...the concourse at Euston Station looked like Rourke's Drift  ...worth it though to witness this...
