I never fully understood, was Aurelio injured all year for us, or was he just not favored?

Likewise, could have been one hell of a player if it wasn't for injuries. Best of luck Fab.

Best left back in the league when he was fit. Thanks for all those wonderful moments you gave us.

Kenny mentioned towards the end of the season that Aurelio's the only one at the club who was definitely leaving so he's off somewhere away from here unfortunately.

Good luck Fabio. I tell you what, say whatever you want about these two lads, but I genuinely think we'd have finished in the top four if we'd had the Riera and Aurelio of 2009 in the team last season.

Two moments that don't really get brought up:

Firstly, his first goal for us. Severely overlooked in great Liverpool goals over the last few years:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwyBaCpwcMg

Secondly, the cross he put in for Kuyt to head onto the post at... Stoke? I think it was. Can't find a video but one of the most brilliant crosses I've ever seen especially considering he got nailed and was falling over iirc.

His cross for Torres' first in the 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield. Inch perfect and the header Torres got onto it!

I remember when we dicked Madrid 4-0 at Anfield back in 2009. Fabio gave an absolute master class that night. His best ever in a red shirt IMO. His passing, his positioning, his vision, his movement, his link up play, everything he did that night was just sublime. Such an absolute shame he was so injury plagued because the guy was good, really really good.

So long Fabio !

I believe it when he's not there at the beginning of next season.

One of the last of Rafa's legacy and he was a "Rafa player", defensively sound,  a great football brain and what a sweet left peg. Could have made a decent central midfielder had he not been so one footed, I remember he was tried there against Fiorentina in the CL in 09 which help in our mauling that night, but I cant fault him he was being played out of position. Some great memories, his cheeky free kick against Chelsea and his point to the heavens on the night before the 20th anniversary of Hillsbourough which kicked off an all most incredible come back, one of many in that fantastic season, oh the memories.....

I wish him all the best where ever he may find himself he will always find a home in Liverpool
