What I love about this, and several other of Kenny's press conferences, is that he manages to say something to the effect of  'Shut the fuck up, you fucking helmets and don't fuck with me or my football club or I'll make you eat your own balls', without actually using th

Classy, classy player but damn if he just wasn't made of glass. It's no coincidence that we had our best season in the league for a long while when he was (relatively) fit.

Good luck, he's going to need it.

Liverpool FC full-back Fabio Aurelio set to seal Grêmio switch

    By Sean Bradbury
    May 24 2012

LIVERPOOL FC full-back Fabio Aurelio is close to sealing a switch to Brazilian side Grêmio, according to reports.

The 32-year-old was signed on a free transfer by Rafael Benitez in July 2006 and made his debut in the FA Community Shield victory over Chelsea the following month.

He went on to make 132 appearances for the Reds but two weeks ago it was confirmed his contract would not be extended beyond the summer.

While Aurelio only scored four goals during his time at Anfield, he made sure they were spectacular.

He opened his account with a stunning volley in a 3-1 victory over Bolton in March 2008 after being set up by Xabi Alonso.

A trio of special free-kicks followed - against Portsmouth at Fratton Park in a 3-2 win, Man United at Old Trafford in a 4-1 win and finally away to Chelsea in a memorable 4-4 draw in the Champions League.

But his six-year stint at Liverpool was plagued by injury, limiting him to just three games last season.

Fuck the Daily Mail.

What a footballer. One of my favourites at the club.

Put Downing and Enrique to shame in his one game this season with his delivery and decision making. Shame he's made of glass.

Best left back we've had in a long, long time in my opinion and sadly another departing member of our best team of recent years from 08/09 who we haven't replaced.

One of my favourite goals that one. I said to my mate "he should go for goal" and was really just having a laugh, fully expecting him to put it in the box and he goes and does that, centimetre perfect.

Love the one against the Mancs as well.

Injuries ruined him from being one of the best LBs in the league.

Fantastic delivery, really intelligent and made some great contributions. Technically the best LB we've had in ages?

Sadly, Rafa was right to let him go on a free because his injuries have been too frequent.

Gremio hey. We should get a relationship going with them now we've had players go each way :)

Sad to Aurelio go, along with Agger, Lucas, and Kuyt, has been part of a quartet of players who could have been top top players for Liverpool but weren't really altogether enough to make it all click (still the chance for some of course). One of my favs and hope he does well elsewhere

For every Elijah Price there must be a David Dunn. Shame Aurelio turned more into the Elijah than the David later on. Best technique of any LB in this league I have seen.

We never had luck with great full backs and injuries, Rob Jones, Heggem and Aurelio.

Classy player, just a shame we never got to see him regularly enough.

No luck at all, Konchesky never got injured.  ;)
