This Gegen pressing is ruthless..

Jokes aside, awful news. Suddenly makes our plethora of striking options currently down to Sturridge who's made of glass, and Origi who's still very much a work in progress!

That's gutting, especially for Ings himself. Bet he really fancied his chances given that he's probably the striker most suited to the things Klopp demands from his strikers in terms of work-rate. Was really starting to show his worth here as well, been one of our better players this season.

Two ACLs in two days is insanely horrible luck. Lets hope Sturridge's operation really did fix him...

Although he should be ready for consideration after Kazan next week.

So not as bad as losing Ings  for the season.

I think he ran himself into the ground in the previous few weeks. Playing multiple games a week 90 minutes and non-stop running and sprinting.

Need another striker in January, even if we get mugged off on the price.

We have 3 who I trust to play up front, 1 is out for the rest of the season, 1 has injury issues it seems, and the other has what I'd consider chronic injury trouble. Don't need to be a pessimist to assume that there will come a time given this Ings injury that all 3 of them will be out at the same time, and it could be the case for a matter of weeks or even months.

It never rains but it pours. 2 young players settling into the club brilliantly, giving their all and showing real promise, then fate shits on us and both of them from a great height in the space of a couple of days. Get well soon, Danny, and come back stronger. YNWA

Agreed.

Not only that but it must be crushing for him personally.  Wanting to make an impression at LFC and then the Euro's
around the corner next year.

He's application and attitude has been first class this year, really stepped up and showed he's worth his selection
when he's been in the team.

In which case we'd have Firmino who does a job there for Brazil on occasion. Really don't want to see Lallana up there like at the end of last season, that was truly awful yet still completely avoidable

Only played the last 30 after having a week without a game (although he'd had a minor injury that necessitated that). Seems a stretch. Just really unfortunate.

Gutted for both lads who'd come in and started really promisingly.

At least they'll be there together throughout the rehab and help eachother along.
