Do people genuinely like the new stuff? I think it's shite. Everything since the second series is amusing at best. Nothing's as funny as Morris written early Partridge as the sports reporter that was inspired. The Iannucci written series were hilarious but less bizarre.

The books I don't like as they re-hash things that were hilarious in a less hilarious way.

I just find Coogan and whoever he is writing with now aren't that funny. Like The Simpsons is now.

The audiobooks are up there as the best AP stuff. I personally think the Woganesque tone is shit hot. But if you want want a Morris vs Alan smack down...well you got it buddy!

I've never heard that before it's glorious. Love how Alan gets confused, flustered and talks rubbish when Morris baffles him.

That's what's missing for me in things like Scissored Isles.

The character is moribund.

Now a new series of Brasseye would be the time to resurrect him.

Where is Chris Morris?

For me the two series of I'm Alan Partridge are the absolute peak of the character. Hopefully we see something along similar lines.
