was thinking more sturridge up top with borini left, suso right and coutinho playing through the centre. I think it would work as long as fullbacks overlap properly and give enough width.

Obviously Hendo and lucas in CM

but hey, we all want a team of carras!!!

We've absolutely never played any kind of formation without width under Rodgers, though. If that was the starting 11, I almost guarantee we'd see Borini wide left and Shelvey wide right.

Gonna be leaving soon to go up for the game, it's gonna be emotional, hopefully he will score (ok he probably won't!) but a win and a clean sheet will be more than enough to please Carra. It's a shame Stevie won't be on the pitch with him they have played so many games together but I'm sure he'll be there for the lap of honour!

Would be great if the whole team came out at the start of the game to line up with training tops over their shirts with "Carragher 23" on their backs.

Liverpool have scored the most Premier League goals since January 1 (39).

Only Arsenal and Manchester City have a better second-half record than Liverpool this season, (W17, D12, L8).

Daniel Sturridge has scored six times in his last four games. The former Chelsea striker has 10 goals and three assists in 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.

Hope Ibe is on instead of Shelvey. Unfortunately for me/jonjo, everytime I see him in the box I expect him to sky it. I wish I could understand why Brendan prefers him to, say, Pacheco, given what I see on matchdays from the both. Expecting all the commentators to be nearly exploding with what happens in other matches today. Just grateful the whole game is on streams. Whatever we do this will be a short clip on motd2 tonight.

Hopefully Shelvey can have a good game, I'm starting to get the impression he struggles in the big games but can punish the smaller teams, which isn't necessarily bad if we use him right.

I hope that the lads and Brendan are up for this if only to give Carra a win for his last match. Plus the string of 8 unbeaten matches would be nice to build upon for next season. I expect to see some youngsters making appearances in the second half.

Yep, been impressed with how they've managed the players recently. Gerrard and Allen sent for surgery early to make sure they're 100% for pre season, and Martin Kelly has been fit for the last few matches but has been kept on a strict fitness programme to make sure he doesn't break down again.

We should be raring to go next season.

That and the Borini broken foot that we missed were pretty poor mistakes.
