Watching modern football these days, it's clear you need to risk a high line more, press more, have defenders who read long passes to bypass the press well..there's an element of randomness, especially when the ball is intercepted in the build up from the goalie. Benitez wants full control, still, imo, he needs to set up teams, in such a way for different game situations, that they use acceptable risk, to at least have 50 percent possession every game, bar a few exceptions. You will simply lose buy in from your players otherwise.
