38 minutes in and still "less than an hour". The red bar isn't even close to halfway across yet either.

Needs to be a 19 games sale.
If you're going to sign up on Betfair please use my code N4TFVF4PK

We'll both get £20

You haven't been able to do that for a while on these sales. You must be thinking of general sales, or Auto Cup.
Yes, this is my first 13+ league sale, last year I was on the 4+ sale.

I also buy a lot of the local general sale tickets.

There seems to be some new system where you choose the stand you want and the quantity and it automatically chooses the seats for you, i.e. you can no longer choose the specific seats you want.

It has been like that since last year at bulk sales. Only when additional seats sale can you select individual seats.

"There are now 9,600 sessions in the queue and ticket sales are steadily progressing."

There were 10,500 11 minutes ago.

Should be some sort of code given to people that qualify... I bet loads in this queue don't have the required cr dits to buy

Noticed when trying to choose seats for the Brighton game it spun and looked like nothing was happening and then kept trying to purchase seats again for same stand and then a good while later it showed up lots of tickets in basket. It looks like it is crashing but just spins. If you can be patient it will appear in basket.

From the blog : (another alternative would be to have a system that allows more than a busload of people at the same time)

"Can we please ask supporters to complete your transaction as quickly as possible?

This will reduce the queuing time for supporters waiting. "
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Over an hour on about 8 different browsers but luckily one got straight in, all had been opened up after i got in from work at 6.35. It took an absolute age though for tickets to be added to the basket and getting seat bloody 1, 2, and 3 in Kop 208 in the corner didnt help either just made it worse, as i had to sack them off for 207 instead and i was literally shaking in case the site crashed the whole time. Can't recall it ever being so slow to do them all. 16 mins in total it took for all 8 games so its no wonder nobodys queue times are going down. Now somebody please tell me why do I need to do this all again on Thursday when I have 19 credits from last season just for Cardiff and Fulham?

Some observations from today:

- The site did not crash for me.

- For a sale where the site was not crashing, this was the slowest response time ever.  Adding seats to baskets sat on "waiting for socket" for over a minute.  Trying to delete a single ticket from a basket was taking around 30 seconds.  On previous sales, this is usually less than 5 seconds.

- Having previously argued that the queue time was now random, I no longer think that is the case.  We had 20+ sessions on 5 computers downstairs and another 20+ sessions across 5 computers upstairs.  They all joined the site-closed page around 07:55.  The sessions were across multiple browsers and Chrome logins, so there were no shared session cookies.    Every downstairs session (next to the router) got a <45 wait or worse.   Every upstairs session (on same router) got 13 to 20 minutes.  If this was random, the chance of that happening is infinitesimally small.   I am guessing they are looking at device id's now, since all sessions on the same computer had similar wait-times.  But I can't explain why 5 computers in one room should all be bad and 5 in another should all be good.

It's only an estimation. People spend a lot longer than they need to once they get in, and some don't close browsers once they get sorted.

it really is incredibly slow.
Have got mine now, but when you click buy on each game nothing happens for ages, did it a couple of times then finally you have added too many tickets and you have to remove them one at a time, each time it takes ages to refresh. The process easily took double the time it should adding to the queue.
They still have a lot of work to do to make this a better process.

Not looking forward to Thursday

They actually don't! Just stagger the sales to reward loyalty such as 19, 15, 13 etc which would also speed up the system.

Slightly gutting to have to pay Main Stand prices after getting all Kop the past few sales. Oh well... I could just... not go...  :butt :butt :butt

Four of us that like to sit together so pretty much only main stand/centenary as options. Chose MS Upper in the end...

I've never felt the ticket site feel so laggy before. I feel the map also seems to load about 5 seconds too slow when you switch selection in stands, bit weird.

Can only do that once they’ve sorted logging in to confirm relevant criteria is met- until then pointless as people will ignore it

The majority of people in today's sale are already on 19, so doing a sale just for 19s wouldn't help much.

You need to break down the 13+ members into equal chunks.  You could do that by going back over 5 years of history, or taking into account cup and away games.

Agreed and think they should also do a members sale the same for the away games to stop it from being a closed shop and enable some regular going fans to get to aways without having to use ticket exchange and build up some credits.
