Style of play isn't for me the main thing, as most young or younger coaches like to play a certain way. For me it's about aura, being able to walk into our training ground and get this bunch of serial winners and stars to respect and buy into the plan immediately. Some mentioned Clough at Leeds, it's a valid ppoint. If the players don't respect you, all the hipster data attached to your name means nothing.
Jurgen had the aura, he commanded respect and trust from his players, but some of them hadn't achieved much and they knew they were on a journey. Alot of them have now won the lot, and will expect the fella to be coaching them to have a certain aura and position. If said fella isn't up to their expectations it won't work.
