“The Premier League has committed to giving supporters a minimum of six weeks' notice (from the first match in the relevant month) on broadcast selections until December, and five weeks from January until Match Round 37. The Premier League will not be publicly announcing the release dates for each broadcast cycle.”

On the Chelsea fixture release page.

Great! Supporters will get even less notice this time round.

Villa in the Europa play-off I think means our game with them moves to the Sunday.  International break the week after.

They have announced the last games of the season as all starting at 16:00, which is what they did last season but then changed them all to 16:30.

I thought that one was nailed on and booked a train home after the Southampton game that was too early.  :-(

Is it set down in the tv package contracts which match days will have Friday games and which Mondays, or do they make these up as they go?

August should be out before the end of tomorrow going by their '6 week' rule. They've usually included September in the first selection release too.

Surely as Chelsea has already been announced, the 6 week rule means that both Bournemouth and Newcastle will be announced by Sat 8th July (6 weeks before the Bournemouth match)? although it is the PL so they'll make it up as they go along.

I appreciate that this would be guess work, but do we think the Arsenal home game on the 23rd December could be move to Christmas Eve (the Sunday) i didn't think they could move it, but a Scottish mate of mine has made me doubt this now, as last season the SPL had Christmas Eve matches.

They would move it in a heartbeat to Christmas Eve if they think that's what's best for the precious TV audience. The fact that some supporters would really struggle travel wise has never, and will never even be considered.

Looking like our only Saturday games between now and the New Year will be Bournemouth home, Wolves away, Luton away and Palace away. Those last 3 could be moved to Monday along with Spurs away and Everton at home, but the rest are certain to be on Sundays and probably some of those mentioned as well.

There's only ever been 1 game in the premier league era played on Christmas Eve (Leeds v Man. Utd 1995). There were plans to move our game against Arsenal funnily enough to Christmas Eve in 2017 but it never happened - it was on one of the televised slots for that weekend which fell on Christmas Eve but in the end they moved it forward a day instead.

Wouldn't be surprised if they tried it again if the fixtures fell on a weekend but seems there isn't much appetite for it all round.

You can add FA 3-rd and 4-trd round replays - 16/01 and 06/02 respectively and remove league cup 2nd round as we start from the 3rd.

I doubt us vs Arsenal would get played on christmas eve, remember when sky scheduled us away at Arsenal for christmas eve a few years ago, their was that much anger at the decision that sky moved the fixture to Friday 22nd December.

It has to be released today going by their own rules of "at least 6 weeks prior to the first scheduled fixture of the month".
(Even though technically they already missed that last friday, but GW1 was already released when the fixtures were released).

No it doesn't, they'll just do whatever they want, just as they always do.

Obviously hopefully it is today though.
