Was it Matthew Syed on Abramovich’s tenth anniversary at Chelsea? He was scathing in that.
Matt Syed...That's it!!!

Thank you so much.

I've been renting an apartment for a bit over a year now, and I pay the landlord (via a management company) an additional amount to cover the water bill every few months.

This was only £14.something for each of the first 6 months, then since the start of this year this seems to have increased every other month to now be just under £40. I'm fairly sure this isn't from actual meter readings because the last (and largest) bill was for a month were we were away for a lot of the month so didn't use any water.

Told the management company I won't pay any more until I see copies of the bills and they are starting to get arsey about it. I wasn;t arsed about seeing them when it was low, but now it's risen so much I think I need to.

I assume I'm well within my rights to see copies of bills I am covering?

Wouldn't surprise me if you were paying the correct amount.
I pay £300 every 6 months in a 3 bed semi, just me and the wife. She likes her baths, I shower daily.

I’m chatting shite. It was £191 for the past 6 months  ;D

It’s not that I dispute the amount so much, more that it’s an incredible amount to go up by given how much the first 6 months were. It’s not like we suddenly started showering when we didn’t before  :-\

I have a stupid football question :)

Say a team concedes a corner, but have the fastest 2-3 players of either team. Is there anything to stop them lining up just inside the halfway line, and eliminating the immediate goal threat? I’d like to see it just once for the utter confusion it would cause the opposition.

No, the defending team leaves all ten players along the halfway line, so the attacking team has to stay there as well. When the corner is taken, it’s a race to the ball.

The attacking team wouldn't leave them all there though, they'd put at least 5 or 6 in an totally empty area (other than the keeper) and have a pretty good chance of a goal.

To avoid being offside, they’d have to stay back.

As I said, a stupid question ;D

Cockney rhyming slang, "on your Tod Sloan".... alone.

Had someone call me inconsiderate for not posting spoiler tags around talking about the result of  the AFL grand final in a (quiet) thread talking about the game somewhere else. I mentioned that if they were planning on watchinng a replay over the next day or two they would avoid going into threads where it would be being discussed. Does anyone here post on different web forums where spoiler tags are used in regards to a match? Is there ever a situation where it would be inconsiderate to not put spoiler tags around real time posts or post-match talk in regards to a football match?

I don't. But if I don't want to know the result of something, the last thing I would do is go into a thread about it. They're being a knob.

I personally hate that. If you really don't want a result spoilt, don't go into a thread to do with that sport. It's like if I'm recording a boxing fight to re-watch later and after the fight, I go straight into the boxing thread. Such a stupid thing to moan about.

What a load of bollocks. If I don't want to know the results of say F1, I stay out of the F1 thread.

Only ones I know of is a Honda facebook group I am on, where race results are not to be discussed in the main group and only discussed in the racing part of the group.  On the bike forums, the only rule is don't start topics that mention riders or results in them.

Ignore this lot Igor mate, you have to post a thread in the feedback section with the title "Please block [user]'s posts from my account" and replace [user] with the name of the person you want to block.

Good thing is, it comes up all stars so only the mods can see it. So "Please block CraigDS's posts from my account" would read "Please block *******'s posts from my account" to me or anyone else reading.
