Yeah and some of you are way at the other end of the spectrum praising him even when he was poor. I think Dani will end up making it at Liverpool but he didn't have a good game today. He didn't make any kind of impact in the first half and gave the ball away in bad areas on a number of occasions. He played better in the second half and I was surprised to see him go off as he was coming more and more into the game but it wasn't one of his better days.

Absolute bollocks from start to finish.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

What do you want me to give him credit for. Did he open up defenses with mazy runs? Did he slot through balls into the forwards? When playing as a forward did he have shots on target? Did he trouble their center halves or their keeper?

Yes, to all of those things if you were even fucking watching.

Fact is, this kid is 20 years old and this is his second game at this level ever, and fuck knows what you think you were watching, because the kid was the only one coming deep to collect the ball and look to make things happen, was the only one covering around 3 positions, and the only one who seemed to be using some intelligence on the ball. He's not even used to it like the rest of them are, and yet carried himself remarkably well.

The fact that you can't even see that, and were instead looking for "mazy runs", perhaps says more about your actual knowledge of the game than anything else. Or rather you just aren't someone who notices anything else other than goals. Honestly think it's embarrassing to state he was "unnoticeable".
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Maybe if you tried being a little rational and balanced at times you wouldn't look like such a fool on this forum all the time.

accoriding toone of ma chelsea mates borini is refusing to sign a new contract at chelsea unless they increase his wages by 50% plus guarentee he'll be involved in the first team and they think hes being a arse and unless his attitude changes he wont be there much longer

Thought he did well, was very composed and assured. He's very good at linking up with one two's and through balls, would perhaps like him to shoot more, but I missed the first chance he had apparently.

Thanks Saul, I'll try to remember that.

I would use your last post and this one as an example of something being balanced and rational, but alas it was all bollocks. Oh well.

What were you expecting? He created Norwich's best chance almost singlehandedly. Found space often in the first 30 mins.

Was then quiet as Swansea took complete control. Started off the second half lively, and was then subbed.

He wasnt unbelievably good today - but Swansea have been excellent so credit to them

Did he open up defenses with mazy runs?
yea he made some good runs

Did he slot through balls into the forwards?
yea played a few good passes
When playing as a forward did he have shots on target?
One shot on weaker foot after creating some space well.. didn see too much of the ball in front of goal
Did he trouble their center halves or their keeper?
forced a decent save and some tackles were required yes

He made two darting runs when he had 20 yards of space around him and ran straight into defenders.
[/quote]

He looked composed on the ball, showed some quality touches, left defenders dead a few times, always looking around.. over ran one or two but that happens.
Amazed he was taken off, defo looked one of the better players out there and was coming more and more into the game.  They should have been trying to get him on the ball more i really thought... Im maybe a bit biased but defo thought was not a bad performance, away against the best defence in the league..
He easily has better touch, technique and skill than our beloved dirk
Its called the kansas city shuffle

From what I saw ofDani today he did well, I don't think his strike partners were really creating space to help him out and they were a bit too laid back in the around Swansea's goal for me.  There are times where I thought Dani was forcing it but I could understand why.  The more matches he gets the more we'll see what he can do and I do have high hopes for the lad.

Totally owned.

We'll be having our conversation soon, Chops. The one we spoke about last year, about how this season can be judged better or worse than last season, remember? Seeing as we're not going to better the points total of 63 last year but might better the final position we should actually start it now.

Bear in mind though, that I always look like a fool, so you'll probably win.

good cross by pacheco
Great ball in from Dani, Holt should have scored.
great ball by dani there to holt

Great free kick by Pacheco, that header really should have hit the target.

To all those saying that Dani was unnoticeable/ didn't perform etc, you're talking shite. I'm not saying he was Messi-esque or anything, but name me one Norwich player who had a better game than him, cause there fucking wasn't one.

I didn't see the game today, but the fact that 3 managers at Liverpool were obviously reluctant to play him in the first team doesn't really bode well for him.A good run in the Norwich side will give a good idea if he what it takes or not.

Dani didn't have the same fantastic game as last week but despite what the WUMs say, he was still impressive and did lots of things well.

Gave the ball away a few times when trying too hard but that's what he's on loan for - to gain experience and learn. His talent is obvious. He needs to learn how to make the most of his talent and that's exactly what he's learning to do.

What's encouraging is how he stepped it up a gear in the 2nd half and was easily their best player in the little spell just before he came off.

Look forward to his next game.

To be fair to all of us, both seasons I think we'd all rather just forget about. I'm hoping for a Bobby Ewing shower in July if am honest.

And I actually am a fool, so you're in good company mate. ;)

On contrary. It's very unlikely that he'd get  a lot of  playing time with us this season.  This way,  going to a high quality Championship club as Norwich, that may easily get promoted, he can impress and demostrate his talent. If they do get promoted, imo a smart  move would be to loan him again til January to see if he can cut  it at PL level and if he can bring  him back.
