The better Hazard is playing for Dortmund at the moment. Needed to wash my hands after that goal.

He's had a bit of a struggle getting going at Dortmund, maybe going from a team where he was one of the main men, to one where he really isn't hasn't helped! But he scores goals like that, and he'll be getting more gos!

This game is a pretty clear indication of how well Gladbach are actually doing. On pure talent alone, Dortmund are so far ahead of them squad wise.  Gladbach have some nice players, but overall, not may would get into that Dortmund first 11.

Much deserved equaliser for Gladbach from Lars Stindl. Good game this. Gladbach playing really well. It's all pretty open. And Dortmund can bring on Sancho soon too.

what a miss from Embolo  :butt

Gladbach don't deserve to lose this one, but Dortmund just have the hex over them, sadly.

Better players in the final third is what it comes down to, Gladbach got the 5th best squad in Germany and 5th is where they will end up.

They definitely need to invest in a striker in the summer window as they create so many chances but don't have anyone who can stick it in the back of the net on a regular basis.

Hazard has the 4th most assists in the league. I was under the impression he's been good.

He had a bit of a slow start, then really got going, but has been off the boil since before the winter break. That was his first league goal in 10, and even the assists dried up mostly . But of course it’s not affected them too much cos of the form of others who have been scoring for fun. Nice problem to have!

Looking like Bayern have won it again. Lewandowski is out and they’re still winning. Not many tough games left for them. Oh well, maybe another team will win it in the next 10 years.

DFP Pokal semi final draw:

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt
1. FC Saarbrücken vs Bayer Leverkusen

So a Bayern vs Leverkusen final.

Be an entertaining final at least. Not sure if Leverkusen would stand a chance but should be at least 4 goals in it.

Bad appointment. I don't know who is available, but surely someone better is out there? I mean, I know Weinzierl stock fell off but I would take him back over Herrlich. Maybe even Tim Walter if you are willing to be patient.

Herrlich is a strange one to fathom for me. It looked really good for a while at Leverkusen, but it went to crap, and I think a big part of the problem is his personality, he really rubs people up the wrong way! So we shall see.

Another ex Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt has signed for PSV, shame really, would have loved to see him back in the Bundesliga, maybe with Hertha, he's a fun coach! When things click with him, it's very entertaining football.

Saw that this morning, the PSV/Ajax and Feyenoord matches just became that little bit more intense and attacking, should be quite fun to watch... :D

The Den Haag matches, not so much, unless they fire the private dancer...

Shame. That being said, taking one of the bigger teams in the Eredivise might be ideal for someone like Schmidt. A few good years and his European reputation is restored.

Seems like the Berlin derby will be played behind closed doors:

Indeed!

Lots of derbies on this week too, all behind closed doors, BVB vs Shalke and this evening Gladbach vs Effzeh.

Teams for this evening's game, which starts very soon:

Borussia Mönchengladbach: Sommer - Lainer, Ginter, Elvedi, Wendt - Strobl, Kramer - Herrmann, Embolo, Thuram - Plea
Subs: Sippel, Jantschke, Bensebaini, Stindl, Johnson, Hofmann, Raffael, Traore

FC Köln: Horn - Ehizibue, Mere, Leistner, Schmitz - Skhiri, Hector (c) - Kainz, Uth, Jakobs - Cordoba
Subs: Krahl, Katterbach, Voloder, Höger, Rexhbecaj, Drexler, Terodde, Modeste, Thielmann

Expect Bayern to push hard for Timo Werner now though, as Flick is very keen on bringing him in according to the usual bundesliga reporters on Twitter.

I've always liked Gotze, you just wonder if he could actually still take the pace of football, having said that I think he is on a free transfer. It will be interesting to see if Klopp maybe tempted.

Timo Werner must be a done deal...

The fact that RB Leipzig are signing a replacement for him (Milot Rashica) and the fact that Barce are looking to sign Inter's Lautaro while Real Madrid are after Haaland leads me to believe that Werner to LFC is just a matter of time .
