Apart from all the Dream Courses, what are your thoughts on the Local Courses,

West Derby, Childwall, Woolton, Huyton & Prescot, etc.

I know they are not spectacular, but I presume most of you have played them.

I found Childwall long, but a little bland. Woolton isn't helped by the road. Huytons Greens were good, but to short with a few blind shots.

I actually thought Grange Park in St.Helens had the lay out that made you use most clubs in the bag.

Some impressive courses there JP, how was Saunton? I'm thinking about both courses there plus Westward Ho! sometime soon
We moved to North Devon last summer and I've just managed to get in to Saunton.  Sooo excited, first round is coming up later this week.

I have played Royal North Devon 4 times since being here and I really enjoyed that too.  Great layout, I thought it wouldn't be very interesting but it is and you get some great views on some tees.
Look up "Odious" in the dictionary and Martin Samuel is the given definition.  Call me Klopphooey please.
