Chelsea final, anyone…?
Yes, please. Would love that.

And I was just thinking that if Southgate had any sense, he’d drop the likes of Chilwell, Rashford, etc. and just take a bunch of Klopp’s kids to the Euros. England have no fight in them while our kids are veteran WWE Mentality Monsters. 👿

Might be around 24th April. It looks like the only free midweek if we get through Vs Sparta.

what a great week so far

the everton game getting pushed back is great news as it was one of the toughest away games left this season

hopefully a few more senior lads back for that game

Was going mad with the ref just before Danna scored. He was hauled to the floor clear penalty for any other team

Yes it looked like a clear penalty. Much worse than Endo’s block.

Did he? I thought the opposite.

I agree, he's just disappointed and they did have some good chances. The main difference is our lads took their chances while they couldn't. I think as well that's their fourth loss so he's obviously a bit down as well.

Has the club ever been in better shape on the playing side? At least in the last 30 years.

I know we romped the title in 19/20 but it seems Jurgen can genuinely call on up to 25+ players here.

Delighted for Koumas and Danns, what a night for them. Hopefully big futures ahead for both.

Brilliant from the patched up reds. Thought harvey was impeccable that second half and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. Superb goals from Danns particularly the little dink. Loved that.

Dunno what McCoist had been drinking tonight but was talking absolute pish all night. Usually enjoy his commentary. It was like he was scripted as though he was watching our first team yet we had the academy on the pitch. Spouting facts about our escapades this season as if it had any relevance to that side.

Himself and the manc tit Matterface saying we'd scored with our first shot on target despite both of them complementing the keeper for a fine save from Harvey minutes before

I really hope Jayden Danns can have a great loan spell next season. He looks really promising and ready to play. If we didn’t already have 5 great attackers i‘d say keep him as backup, but thus lad needs regular game time!!

Yeah they played very well and risky too but at least they came to play like Luton did.

Russell Martin came over well there in his interview too.

Yep hats off to them,  they came to play football - no diving, feigning injury, time-wasting, clogging, trying to get our players booked, or leaving a boot in etc - which is a very rare thing for an away team at Anfield these days

Yeah, refreshing to see a team not resort to being shithouses, fair play to them.

The other thing people need to remember is these lads will be in the other team that faces the first team in training, so they will be learning all the time, off the first team and that will bring them on quicker as well.

It would have been interesting seeing our senior team playing against them tonight. The way they tried to play out from the back would have seen us absolutely destroy them. Our pressing game against that would have been carnage for Southampton.

I think they made about eight changes today. My brother is a Soton fan whose very unhappy at the moment as I think its their fourth defeat on the bounce, probably another reason why the manager wasn't happy.

Also, fair play to Southampton

A lot of sides would come and park the bus, regardless of what team we put out, Southampton came and played some lovely stuff at times and didn’t resort to yard dog football despite being behind. Really made it a competitive game and they deserve respect for having the guts to come and play good football at a really tough away ground

Exactly, it's so weird I mean even Klopp was more restrained afterwards. He'll be happy naturally, but Martin is in the other position of having young players and it not working out for them.
