Yes, I am now, wifi is obviously just much quicker, but is only needed for larger apps and songs/podcasts from iTunes

ah right

see im currently with three and some times its quicker than others, but im guessing with wifi its even quicker

does it just automatically choose wifi if its there, and use the other when it isnt?

Pretty much.
It'll ask you if you want to connect to wifi if it's a connection you don't normally use/haven't used.
The 3g speed is pretty good tho, and the normal GPRS isn't that bad either

kool

well the main stopping thing is the price to be honest

realistically i will use it for listening to music on way into work,

phone calls and texts but cant see me using the £35 allowance up, but may need slightly more than the £30 one, I am currently on a £20 300 minutes or texts a month, plus 300 mins to 3 mobile, which i dont usually use up, plus internet and email, which i want.

Now i want a nice phone as my current one is not great, its a nokia 6210 from 3 and is almost 18 months old.

Now recently i have gone over my allowance, but that is due to some family stuff that has been going on and having to ring allsorts and all that.... hmmm decisions decisions

should i get a shit phone and a touch?

Does depend on your uses I guess.
I was on a shitly expensive contract anyway, and bills easily came to £100 each month, now I don't go over my £45 contract and use it a hell of a lot more

well it was a great option for you then. As i have my house phone and live with my mrs, i dont have heavy usage, could prob do a bit more texting etc and prob would end up using it all i imagine..... hmmm god damn it

;D was mainly data, due to o2 not implimenting an unlimited bolt on til ages after most networks did. Even then it was a £7.50 extra cost on top of an already stupid expensive contract

Six notes though, isn't it? Stopped using Hotmail ages ago, to be honest. Found it a bit of a shit email to be giving out to companies when I was applying for jobs.

Changed to Inbox.com first (which I used for a good few years) and have now migrated to GMX.com as they offer free IMAP which is good for email on the iPhone (in sync with my desktop client). Better than POP3 anyways.

Bought WunderRadio the other day, about 4 quid I think, it's shit hot though. God knows how many radio stations, including the BBC ones, in great quality. I've only got it going over Wi-Fi, not sure about 3G etc.

Only one I can't get at the moment is 5 Live.

I've got this too. Fucking great isn't it?

I tend to put City on and hook it up to my stereo for the build up to the match and then get the stream on the go. Best thing I can get to the real thing since I moved away.

I assume you have Cydia, if so just add http://cydia.hackulo.us/ to your sources and you'll find Installous under the Hackulo.us category. The app is pretty straight forward to use, just search/select the app, download (through the file sharing sites provided) and install.

Cheers. Is it worth getting Appulous or is everything pretty much on Installous?

EDIT: I see that Installous is the app that taps in to Appulous. Apologies. Fucking awesome this though.

I feel dirty playing Crash Bandicoot, Sim City, Rolopolo (whatever it's called ;D ) and Beat Maker all for free.

I might donate 5p to children in need to compensate.

I have to say, the moral conflict here is eating away at my insides. Or not.

What's this SSH stuff all about? Is it a pain in the arse to do? Is it worth it when you have access to Appulous instead?

I think jailbreaking is mainly for your iPhone. I got an iTouch for Christmas too, and have found loads of free applications that are great, so I wouldn't worry too much mate.

Otherwise, i guess jailbreaking is to allow you download apps from somewhere else apart from the apps store.
Yep.

Not an overstatement either, but I cannot live without TV Plus.

Just discovered this app, Walshy. Absolutely brilliant.

For those who don't have it, it gives you access to the Sky+ Remote Record function so you can tell your box at home to record a certain program.

Fantastic.
