I would love to see Conor Bradley get a start here. I suspect Gomez will get the nod but it would be a huge boost for Bradley and he wouldnt want to waste the opportunity.

Gomez for Tsimikas and I'm guessing Diaz is unlikely to start after getting a bang on the knee so Nunez comes in. Other options to freshen it up are Quansah for Konate, Gravenberch for Jones, and Elliott for Szoboszlai. Although Burnley have had the same number of recovery days and we do have a full 5 days to recover and prepare for Newcastle. So we might see minimal changes.

Not getting the Bradley shouts at left back? Luke Chambers is more likely I would have thought. Both could be on bench with Gomez and Trent starting

people far too quick to write off Bradley.
He is back after 3 months out. Look at how Tsimikas & Endo have improved after more regular gametime nevermind an injury

Probably the only team in the league I haven’t watched play a single time

Have they been just sitting deep and countering against the big sides or actually stepping out and trying to play their usual style of football?

Same.

I suspect that Kompany will sit deep against us anyway and get his players to commit fouls.

It would be a Christmas miracle if this wasn't his plan. Imagine being a player of international renown and spending your time in Burnley. No wonder he's got a face like a slapped arse.

They play football, which is probably the main reason they've struggled more than most expected. They're coming off by far the best result of their season though.

They tried to play football against Everton and looked like a team who'd never played football in their lives. Of course they'll up their games but there should be very little they can do, pretty much everyone has gone there this season and won comfortably and it'd be a bit concerning if we didn't. Just got to beat these and Newcastle and then we can focus on the cups for the next couple of weeks.

I think there'll be a couple of changes, obviously Tsimikas and probably Diaz dropping out, but it's not one of those ones where we need to be making loads of changes. If you want to make changes get them done when we're comfortable later on in the game. Easier said than done though.

27th/28th/29th/30th/31st off is good rest for this time of year, and it's been one of the kinder winter periods I can remember having. The last European game was mostly kids playing, United and West Ham games were hardly taxing either. I think he'll most likely make changes in the Arsenal cup tie.

Just hope this isn't one of those games where some nomarks go and make a name for themselves which we're still thinking of in years time. I couldn't really name any Burnley players, same went for Luton though so just have to be careful.

Is this the game to play 3 at the back? Just accept we don't have fullbacks, push TAA in beside Endo and ask Jones & Dom to stay wide? Darwin for Diaz and Gakpo to keep his place?

If we're going to play Gomez anyway in a back 3 we'd just play him at LB.

Good result but they just had the bounce of the ball (they got outplayed / shot / xg’ed as usual) - our second team would be a heavy favorite vs them

Need to get back to winning ways after drawing the last 2 prem games. Burnley won their last game so might be feeling better about themselves. Couple of early goals and I imagine they will fall apart but not sure when was the last time we got a couple of early goals.
Please win and be comfortable.

Yes,
player earning five bookings from his side's first 19 Premier League matches will serve a one-match ban in the same competition. Yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup
