I was on a night bus waiting to go through the tunnel to Wallasey as a mate was having a few people stay over.

As the bus is waiting to fill up, a scaly jumps on via the emergency door at the back, gives someone
a dig on the chin then legs it.
I believe there used to be a bit of that for the tunnel buses.

Crosville? buses from Halewood to Widnes. A trip to the countryside.

My Uncle lives in Little Sutton, my Mum used to take us on the 15D from Tower Hill to the Pier Head, jump on the ferry then get a Crosville bus to Little Sutton - proper trip out that was.

The 66 used to go from Garston to Woolton and one of the stops was outside Allerton Cemetery gates.

A story doing the rounds as a kid was that a lad was waiting for the bus outside the Cemetery one winter night when a well dressed elderly man, but in pre war clothes, suddenly appeared. He asked the lad what time the next bus was. The lad told him the time of the bus and then looked down........and noticed that the man had pigs feet.

The lad did a runner and when he looked over his shoulder the man had disappeared.

Kept us away from Woolton any way.

That bus route still operates today although it's 166-266-188-288.
