Ahh okay, a standard sized back pack should be fine then? Just done a quick measure of mine and it’s around those dimensions. On a day trip so don’t really fancy leaving my bag 15 minute walk away from the shuttle buses

If you go back a few pages on this feed there are lots suggestions with buying SIM cards out there and what you can do with current contracts

Get phone unblocked cost 8.99 unless your contracts up take 72 hours then buy a cheap SIM over there

Looks like...
Scheduled flights will make use of the free shuttle buses.

Charter flights into Kiev we will be packed into some different buses and dropped off at: Taras Shevchenko Park
Which appears to be 15mins away from the stadium in one direction, and 15-20mins into town in the other.
I say packed in - like at Roma, but more.

Think I'll aim to be around that place at 6pm ish and walk up from there for the game.

Then after the game looks like a walk back to that park, and catching a bus to the airport. (Says need to show boarding pass to get on but imagine they will not check).

I read somewhere that 'we' will get a separate entrance in the airport for charter flights than scheduled flights. They've got a plan apparently. Let's see how that goes! We all know it will most likely end up in 'free boarding' and that plan is to get you onto planes and out.

Never been to a European away before - are prices of drinks and food usually reasonable? I know it differs country to country. Will there be plenty of places selling booze and food throughout the day?

They'll probably increase the prices near and in the city centre and around the ground but supermarkets should be fine. Kiev isn't really an expensive city in comparison to other European cities.

Me and my mate have a 2-bed apartment in Kiev Thu-Sun. Entire thing cost us $3300, but now some other lads have pulled out as they can't get flights. We have one room with a bed and sofa-bed available, suits two. The place is 0.8 miles from the stadium and really central. We are looking for $1200 ($600 each) for the three nights to share with us. It also makes no sense, because how do they know what time anyone's flight leaves?

Unless they're going to implement some pre-queue thing so the hold back is at the park, and not the airport. I.e if you're on the 3am flight, you get on this bus, 3:15am, this bus. That sounds too complicated though.

The info I've read appears to be people from Revolut saying it's all fine but the reality appears to be mixed reviews. I've got euros in ours which I'm gin a take to exchange in Lviv. Just use me normal card if I need any more.

I've decided the first thing I'm gonna do when I get there is to buy a Vodafone Ukraine sim. For £7.50 (170UAH + 50UAH +40UAH) on pay-as-you-go "prepaid." They offer the following four week package without contract:

14Gb data (4G in Kyiv, 3G elsewhere)
Unlimited social networks
75 mins international (62 destinations including UK & IRE)
Additional international minute bundles available, 14p (5UAH) per 10 mins
150 SMS/MMS international
Unlimited calls to other Vodafone Ukraine numbers
300 mins to other Ukraine networks.

I'm going for 5 days. So this is a god send. None of the UK networks come anywhere near close.
